MAIN SWITCH
Functions of the respective switch
positions are as follows:
ON:
The engine can be started only at
this position.
OFF:
All electrical circuits are switched off.
Main switch indicator light
The main switch
1 is equipped with
an indicator light
2 to avoid forget-
ting to turn it off. This light functions
as follows.
It lights up with the main switch
“ON”.
It goes out when the engine
increases its speed after being
started.
It lights up again when the engine
is stopped.
NOTE:If the indicator light will not light up
with the main switch “ON”, it shows a
lack of the battery voltage. Recharge
the battery.
ENGINE STOP SWITCH
The engine stop switch
1 is located
on the left handlebar. Continue push-
ing the engine stop switch till the
engine comes to a stop.
START SWITCH
The start switch
1 is located on the
right handlebar. Push this switch to
crank the engine with the starter.
EC152000CLUTCH LEVER
The clutch lever
1 is located on the
left handlebar; it disengages or
engages the clutch. Pull the clutch
lever to the handlebar to disengage
the clutch, and release the lever to
engage the clutch. The lever should
be pulled rapidly and released slowly
for smooth starts.

CONTACTEUR A CLE
Les fonctions correspondant aux diffé-
rentes positions du contacteur sont les
suivantes:
ON:
Seule position permettant le démarrage
du moteur.
OFF:
Tous les circuits électriques sont coupés.
Témoin de l’interrupteur à clé
L’interrupteur à clé 1 est équipé d’un
témoin 2 afin de ne pas oublier de le
couper. Ce témoin fonctionne de la
manière suivante.
Il s’allume lorsque l’interrupteur à clé
est en position “ON”.
Il s’éteint lorsque le moteur monte en
régime après le démarrage.
Il se rallume lorsque le moteur est
coupé.
N.B.:
Si le témoin ne s’allume pas lorsque
l’interrupteur à clé est sur “ON”, c’est
que la tension de la batterie est trop fai-
ble. Recharger la batterie.
COUPE-CIRCUIT DU MOTEUR
Le coupe-circuit du moteur 1 est situé
sur la partie gauche du guidon. Appuyer
de façon continue sur le coupe-circuit du
moteur jusqu’à ce que le moteur s’arrête.
CONTACTEUR DU DEMARREUR
Le contacteur du démarreur 1 est situé
sur la partie droite du guidon. Appuyer
sur ce contacteur pour lancer le moteur à
l’aide du démarreur.
LEVIER D’EMBRAYAGE
Le levier d’embrayage 1 est situé sur la
partie gauche du guidon et permet
d’embrayer ou de débrayer. Tirer le
levier d’embrayage vers le guidon pour
débrayer et le relâcher pour embrayer.
Pour un démarrage en douceur, le levier
doit être tiré rapidement et relâché lente-
ment.

Der Zündschalter
1 ist mit einer
Kontrollleuchte
2 versehen, die den
Fahrer daran erinnern soll, die Zün-
dung auszuschalten. Die Funktions-
weise ist nachfolgend beschrieben.
Leuchtet in der “ON”-Stellung des
Zündschalters.
Erlischt, wenn der Motor nach dem
Anlassen eine gewisse Drehzahl
erreicht.
Leuchtet erneut auf, wenn der
Motor abgestellt wird.
HINWEIS:
Falls die Kontrollleuchte beim Stellen
des Zündschalters auf “ON” nicht
aufleuchtet, ist die Batteriespannung
zu niedrig. In diesem Fall die Batterie
laden.
MOTORSTOPPSCHALTER
Der Motorstoppschalter
1 befindet
sich links am Lenker. Den Motor-
stoppschalter gedrückt halten, bis
der Motor stoppt.
STARTERSCHALTER
Der Starterschalter
1 befindet sich
rechts am Lenker. Diesen Schalter
drücken, um den Motor anzulassen.
KUPPLUNGSHEBEL
Der Kupplungshebel
1 befindet sich
links am Lenker. Er dient zum Aus-/
Einkuppeln. Zum Auskuppeln den
Kupplungshebel ziehen, beim Ein-
kuppeln loslassen. Der Hebel soll
zügig gezogen und gefühlvoll losge-
lassen werden für ein weiches Aus-
und Einrücken der Kupplung.

MOTORE
L’interruttore di arresto motore 1 si
trova sul manubrio sinistro. Premere
l’interruttore di arresto motore fino
all’arresto del motore.
INTERRUTTORE DI
AVVIAMENTO
L’interruttore di avviamento 1 si trova
sul manubrio destro. Premere questo
interruttore per avviare il motore con il
motorino di avviamento.
LEVA DELLA FRIZIONE
La leva della frizione 1 si trova sul
manubrio sinistro; innesta o disinnesta la
frizione. Tirare la leva della frizione
verso il manubrio per disinnestare la fri-

FUEL COCK
The fuel cock supplies fuel from the
tank to carburetor and also filters the
fuel. The fuel cock has three posi-
tions:
OFF: With the lever in this position,
fuel will not flow. Always
return the lever to this posi-
tion when the engine is not
running.
ON: With the lever in this position
fuel flows to the carburetor.
Normal riding is done with the
lever in this position.
RES: With the lever in this position
fuel flows to the carburetor
from the reserve section of
the fuel tank after the main
supply of the fuel has been
depleted. Normal riding is
possible with the lever is in
this position, but it is recom-
mended to add fuel as soon
as possible.
COLD STARTER KNOB
When cold, the engine requires a
richer air-fuel mixture for starting. A
separate starter circuit, which is con-
trolled by the cold starter knob
1,
supplies this mixture. Pull the cold
starter knob out to open the circuit for
starting. When the engine has
warmed up, push it in to close the cir-
cuit.

HOT STARTER LEVER
The hot starter lever
1 is used when
starting a warm engine.
Use the hot starter lever when start-
ing the engine again immediately
after it was stopped (the engine is
still warm). Pulling the hot starter
lever injects secondary air to thin the
air-fuel mixture temporarily, allowing
the engine to be started more easily.

COMMANDE DE DEPART A
FROID
Quand il est froid, le moteur a besoin
d’un mélange air - carburant plus riche
pour démarrer. Un circuit de démarrage
séparé, contrôlé par la commande de
départ à froid 1, fournit ce mélange.
Tirer la commande de départ à froid afin
d’ouvrir le circuit pour le démarrage.
Une fois le moteur chaud, la repousser
afin de refermer le circuit.

button at the same time.

more at the same time to change
over to BASIC MODE.

1. Die Tasten “SLCT1” und “SLCT2”

NOTA:
La medición con el cronómetro se
puede efectuar en FUNCIÓN
COMPETICIÓN.
El indicador se ilumina para
identificar que se ha seleccionado
la FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN.
En la FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN
las funciones no se pueden visuali-
zar como en la FUNCIÓN BÁSICA.
El cambio a FUNCIÓN COMPETI-
CIÓN fuerza la puesta a cero de
las cifras del cuentakilómetros par-
cial A (TRIP A) de la FUNCIÓN
BÁSICA.
Cambio de FUNCIÓN BÁSICA a
FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN
1. Pulse el botón “SLCT1” y el botón
“SLCT2” al mismo tiempo durante
2 segundos o más para cambiar a
FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN.
NOTA:
Al cambiar a FUNCIÓN COMPETI-
CIÓN el cronómetro queda en
espera de que se le ponga en mar-
cha de forma manual y y co-
mienzan a parpadear. (Consulte las
instrucciones de puesta en marcha
manual del cronómetro en “Puesta
en espera del cronómetro”del apar-
tado “FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN”.)
Vuelta a FUNCIÓN BÁSICA desde
FUNCIÓN COMPETICIÓN
NOTA:
Se puede volver a la FUNCIÓN
BÁSICA cuando el cronómetro está
parado.
1. Compruebe que el cronómetro
no esté funcionando. Si el cronó-
metro está funcionando, párelo
pulsando el botón “SLCT1” y el
botón “SLCT2” al mismo tiempo.
2. Pulse el botón “SLCT1” y el
botón “SLCT2” al mismo tiempo
durante 2 segundos o más para
cambiar a FUNCIÓN BÁSICA.
