Anti-Lock Brake System
Warning Light
Your vehicle may have
the Anti-Lock Brake
System (ABS).
This light will come on when your engine is
started and may stay on for several seconds.
That is normal.
If the light stays on, turn the ignition off. If the
light comes on when you are driving, stop as soon
as possible and turn the ignition off. Then start
the engine again to reset the system. If the
light still stays on after driving at a speed of at
least 13 mph (20 km/h), or comes on again
while you are driving, your vehicle needs service.If the regular brake system warning light is not
on, you still have brakes, but you do not have
anti-lock brakes. If the regular brake system
warning light
is also on, you do not have anti-lock brakes and
there is a problem with your regular brakes.

The ABS warning light will come on brie y
when you turn the ignition key to RUN. This is
normal. If the light does not come on then, have
it xed so it will be ready to warn you if there
is a problem.

BOOST (Turbo Only)
If your vehicle has this feature, press the
information button until BOOST is displayed. This
mode shows a graphic that indicates the amount
of boost the engine is receiving in either
pounds per square inch (psi) or kilopascals (kPa).
DIC Warnings and Messages
These messages appear if there is a problem
detected in one of your vehicle’s systems.
A message will clear when the vehicle’s condition
is no longer present. To acknowledge a message
and clear it from the display, press and hold
any of the DIC buttons. If the condition is still
present, the warning message will come back on
the next time the vehicle is turned off and back
on. With most messages, a warning chime sounds
when the message displays. Your vehicle may
have other warning messages.
AUTO (Automatic) LIGHTS OFF
This message displays if the automatic headlamp
system is disabled with the headlamp switch.
AUTO (Automatic) LIGHTS ON
This message displays if the automatic headlamp
system is enabled with the headlamp switch.
BRAKE FLUID
This message displays to inform the driver that the
brake uid level is low while the ignition is on.
The brake system warning light on the instrument
panel cluster also comes on. SeeBrake System

Have the brake system serviced by your retailer
as soon as possible.
CHANGE OIL SOON
This message displays when the life of the engine
oil has expired and it should be changed.
When you acknowledge the CHANGE OIL SOON
message by clearing it from the display, you
still must reset the engine oil life system

If this message turns on while you are driving, pull
off the road as soon as possible and stop carefully.
Try resetting the system by turning the ignition off
and then back on. If this message still stays on or
turns back on again while you are driving, your
vehicle needs service. Have the ESC inspected by
your retailer as soon as possible.
SERVICE TRACTION
If your vehicle has the Traction Control
System (TCS), this message displays and a chime
sounds when the system is not functioning
properly. The ESC/TCS light also appears on the
instrument panel cluster. This light stays on
solid as long as the detected problem remains
present. When this message displays, the system
is not working. Adjust your driving accordingly.

retailer as soon as possible.
TRACTION OFF
If your vehicle has the Traction Control
System (TCS), this message displays and the
ESC/TCS light on the instrument panel cluster
comes on solid when the TCS is turned off. Adjust

TRUNK AJAR
This message displays when the trunk lid is not
closed completely. Make sure that the trunk
lid is closed completely. SeeTrunk on page 68

Finding a Station
BAND:Press this button to switch between AM,
FM, or XM™ (if equipped). The display shows
the selection.
f(Tune):Turn this knob to select radio stations.
©SEEK¨:Press the right or left SEEK
arrow to go to the next or to the previous station
and stay there.
To scan stations, press and hold either SEEK
arrow for a few seconds until a beep sounds. The
radio goes to a station, plays for a few seconds,
then goes to the next station. Press either
SEEK arrow again to stop scanning.
The radio only seeks and scans stations with a
strong signal that are in the selected band.
4(Information) (XM™ Satellite Radio Service,
MP3, and RDS Features):Press the information
button to display additional text information related
to the current FM-RDS or XM™ station, or MP3
song. A choice of additional information such as:
Channel, Song, Artist, and CAT may appear.
Continue pressing the information button to
highlight the desired label, or press the pushbutton
positioned under any one of the labels and the
information about that label is displayed.
While information is not available, No Info displays.
Storing a Radio Station as a Favorite
Drivers are encouraged to set up their radio station
favorites while the vehicle is parked. Tune to
your favorite stations using the presets, favorites
button, and steering wheel controls if the
vehicle has this feature. SeeDefensive Driving

XM Updating Updating
encryption codeThe encryption code in the receiver is being updated, and
no action is required. This process should take no longer
than 30 seconds.
No XM Signal Loss of signal The system is functioning correctly, but the vehicle is in a
location that is blocking the XM™ signal. When you move
into an open area, the signal should return.
Loading XM Acquiring channel audio
(after four second delay)The audio system is acquiring and processing audio and text
data. No action is needed. This message should disappear
shortly.
Channel Off Air Channel not in service This channel is not currently in service. Tune to another
channel.
Channel Unavail Channel no longer
availableThis previously assigned channel is no longer assigned.
Tune to another station. If this station was one of the presets,
choose another station for that preset button.
No Artist Info Artist Name/Feature
not availableNo artist information is available at this time on this channel.
The system is working properly.
