–Whenyougetoutofthecar,thelightsareturnedonforapprox.30secondsafterthedoorisopened.Theoff-delaytimeresumeswhenthevehicleislocked.OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPackagePlus,thePCMcanbeusedtosettheoff-delaytime.Thissettingalsochangesthelightingperiodforunlockingthevehicle.Pleaseobservethechapter“IndividualMemory”intheseparatePCMoperatinginstructions.

Dependingonthewaythevehicleisdrivenandontheresistance(e.g.uphill),thegear-changingpointsareshiftedtowardshigherorlowerengine-speedranges.Theacceleratorposition,drivingspeed,enginespeed,longitudinalandlateralaccelerationandtheroadprofileallhaveaninfluenceonthegear-changingcharacteristic.
Unwantedupwardshifts,e.g.beforebends,arepreventedbyswiftlyreleasingtheacceleratorpedal.
Dependingonlateralacceleration,upwardchangesonbendsarenotmadeuntiltheengine-speedlimitisreached.
Underbraking,anddependingontheamountofdeceleration,theTiptronicchangesdownearlier.Forsubsequentcornering,therightgearisengagedwhenpressureisappliedtothebrakesbeforethebend.Thebendistakenintherightgear,andwhenyouaccelerateoutofthebendyoudonothavetoshiftdown.
Drivingoff
In2ndgear,thevehiclemovesoffwiththethrottleonlyslightlyopen.Moveoffin1stgearwiththethrottleopenwiderorwhentheengineiscold.
