The batteries contain harmful
substances such as sulphuric
acid and lead. They must be
disposed of in accordance with
regulations and must not, in any
circumstances, be discarded
with household waste.
Take used remote control bat-
teries and vehicle batteries to a
special collection point.
Charging the battery using a
battery charger
Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
Remove the battery and place it in a
ventilated area.
Remove the top-up caps and top up
the level with distilled water if nec-
essary.
Connect the battery to the charger
observing the instructions for use
provided by the manufacturer and
start charging.
Disconnect the battery from the
charger and let it to cool.
If necessary, top up the level with
distilled water.
Clean the top of the battery care-
fully.
Put the top-up caps back in place.
Check that the terminals and con-
nectors are clean. If they are covered
with sulphate (whitish or greenish de-
posit), remove them and clean them.
Reconnect the battery starting with
the negative terminal (-). It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be
left unused for more than one
month.
Do not disconnect the terminals
while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries with-
out disconnecting the terminals
fi r s t . Following reconnection of the
battery
Following reconnection of the battery,
switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute
before starting to permit initialisation of
the electronic systems. However, if slight
d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e n c o u n t e r e d f o l l o w i n g t h i s
operation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Referring to the corresponding section,
you must yourself reinitialise:
- the one-touch electric windows,
- the sunroof,
- the satellite navigation system.
Avoid prolonged contact of the
electrolyte with the skin.

to health and very corrosive. When charging the battery, it is
normal to observe an increase
in temperature and bubbling of
the electrolyte.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ig-
nition before disconnecting the battery.
Close the windows, the sunroof, the
doors and the tailgate before discon-
necting the battery.

Procedure for replacing a worn wiper
blade with a new one without the use
of tools.
Removing a front or rear wiper
blade
Raise the corresponding wiper arm.
Remove the wiper blade, sliding it
towards the outside.
Fitting a front or rear wiper
blade
At the front, check the size of the
wiper blade as the shorter blade is
fi t t e d o n t h e r i g h t - h a n d s i d e o f t h e
vehicle.
Put the corresponding new wiper
b l a d e i n p l a c e a n d fi x i t .
Fold down the wiper arm carefully.

This consists of the following
components:
- a control panel,
- a multifunction display,
- steering wheel audio controls,
- 4 or 6 speakers (according to ver- sion),
- a CD changer (according to ver- sion),
- auxiliary sockets, located at the rear of the centre console (according to
version),
- a radio aerial, located on the roof at the rear of the vehicle.
It allows you to:
- listen to the radio in FM/MW/LW,
- listen to audio CDs (CD-DA, CD- Text, CD-R/RW) or CDs with MP3

Release the button to store the setting.
"Hold" mode
If you press this button for more than
2 seconds in the audio setting mode,
the system switches to "Hold" mode.
The audio mode selected will be re-
tained until you press this button again
for more than 2 seconds. Selecting the musical ambience
"TYPE"
Turn the "SOUND" dial; the
musical ambiences change
in the following order:
CLASSIC/JAZZ/POP/ROCK/
HIP-HOP.
