on the right and on the left if an
obstacle is detected in the centre.
W h e n t h e d i s t a n c e b e t w e e n t h e r e a r
of the vehicle and the obstacle is less
t h a n a p p r o x i m a t e l y t w e n t y - i v e c e n t i -
metres, the audible signal becomes
c o n t i n u o u s a n d t h e " D a n g e r " s y m b o l
a p p e a r s o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
Change to neutral, the system is
again inactive.
Activation/Deactivation

reverse gear is engaged, the

n a l ( s h o r t b l e e p ) a n d a m e s s a g e
o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y

T h i s d e t e c t s a n y o b s t a c l e ( p e r s o n ,
vehicle, tree, gate, etc.) behind the
v e h i c l e . N e v e r t h e l e s s , i t c a n n o t d e -
t e c t o b s t a c l e s l o c a t e d j u s t b e l o w t h e
b u m p e r .
A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , a r o a d -
w o r k s c o n e o r a n y o t h e r s i m i l a r o b -
j e c t m a y b e d e t e c t e d a t t h e b e g i n n i n g
of the manoeuvre, but may no longer
b e d e t e c t e d w h e n t h e v e h i c l e c o m e s
close to it.

( l o n g b l e e p ) i n d i c a t e s t h a t t h e s e n -
sors may be dirty.
Activation
The system is activated as soon as
reverse gear is engaged.
T h i s i s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
s i g n a l a n d d i s p l a y i n g o f t h e v e h i c l e
o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
