1.CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit connector.
3. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
M52 terminal 26 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Stop lamp switch is OK.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect stop lamp switch connector.
2. Check voltage between stop lamp switch harness connector
E13 terminal 1 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair or replace harness between stop lamp switch
power supply circuit and fuse.
3.CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH OPERATION
Check continuity between stop lamp switch terminals 1 and 2.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Replace stop lamp switch.

3.CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH OPERATION
Check continuity between stop lamp switch terminals 1 and 2.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.

Check the operation with “INDICATOR” in “Active Test” mode.
Is the inspection result normal?
Yes >> Lock warning lamp in combination meter is OK.
No >> Refer to DLK-377, "

1.CHECK COMBINATION METER OPERATION
Check the operation of the combination meter.
Does the combination meter operate normally?
Yes >> GO TO 2.
No >> Refer to MWI-3, "
Work Flow".
2.CHECK LOCK WARNING LAMP CIRCUIT
1. Engage the parking brake.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Depress the brake pedal and take the shift lever out of park.
4. With the shift lever out of park, attempt to turn ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Does the "LOCK" indicator illuminate?
Yes >> GO TO 3.
No >> Refer to MWI-3, "
Work Flow" in combination meter to diagnose the park/neutral position indicator
circuit.
3.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

5. When the repair work is completed, re-connect both battery cables. With the brake pedal released, turn
the push-button ignition switch from ACC position to ON position, then to LOCK position. (The steering
wheel will lock when the push-button ignition switch is turned to LOCK position.)
6. Perform self-diagnosis check of all control units using CONSULT-III.

After removing and installing the opening/closing parts, be sure to carry out fitting adjustments to check their
operational.
Check the lubrication level, damage, and wear of each part. If necessary, grease or replace it.
