Central console adjustment from passenger compartment
To set the central console in horizontal position:
❒operate lever D (one per side)
❒lower the central console completely
❒release the lever.
With central console fully lowered and head restraint extracted (as
shown in the figure), it is possible to use the glass/can holder A.
To bring the central console back to vertical position: operate again
lever D (one per side) and re-align the console to rear side back rests
until retainer E clicks into place.
Using the central console compartment
The central console is provided with an internal compartment B.
To use compartment B, press button C and raise the cushion.
For maximum safety, keep the back of
your seat upright, lean back into it and
make sure the seat belt fits closely
across your hips.
WARNING
Once you have released the lever, check
that the seat is firmly locked in the
runners by trying to move it back and
forth. Failure to lock the seat in place
could result in the seat moving suddenly.

EXTENDING THE BOOT
Before extending the boot, release the seat belt buckle (with black
button, if fastened) and accompany the webbing in the reel to prevent
it from twisting; insert the tongues, overlapping them, in the retaining
system A inside the reel compartment.
Moving the seat backwards or forwards
The rear seat is of the double-seat type. It is possible to move the rear
seat backwards or forwards from the boot using handles B or C; pull
the handle and at the same time move the seats forwards. This makes
it possible to extend the boot capacity.
To extend the boot totally
Proceed as follows:
❒remove the rear parcel and previously shown;
❒make sure the headrests are completely lowered;
❒use levers D and E to fold the rear seat backs on the cushions;
❒make sure the seats are completely in backward position by means
of handles B or C;
❒use tapes F and G to tilt the seats completely.

WARNING
If the central seat belt is fastened to the
seat, release it before tilting the seat.
Never pull tapes B or C with seats in load
position as they will slide vertically thus
hindering seat repositioning.

SEAT BELTS
USING THE FRONT AND
REAR SIDE SEAT BELTS
The belt should be worn keeping the chest straight and rested against
the seat back.
To fasten the belt, take hold the tongue A and insert it into the buckle
B, until hearing the locking click.
At removal, if it jams, let it rewind for a short stretch, then pull it out
again without jerking.
To unfasten the seat belts, press button C. Guide the seat belt with
your hand while it is rewinding, to prevent it from twisting.
Through the reel, the belt automatically adapts to the body of the
passenger wearing it, allowing freedom of movement.
When the car is parked on a steep slope the reel mechanism may
block; this is normal. The reel mechanism prevents the webbing
coming out when it is jerked or if the car brakes sharply, in a collision
or when cornering at high speed.
The rear seat is fitted with inertial seat belts with three anchor points
and reel.
The rear belts shall be worn as shown in the figure.

FRONT SEAT BELT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT (where provided)
Always adjust the height of the seat belt to fit the person wearing it.
This precaution could greatly reduce the risk of injury in case of
collision.
Correct adjustment is obtained when the belt passes half way between
the end of the shoulder and the neck.
To adjust the seat belt, raise or lower knob A of the locking
mechanism, moving at the same time the loop B to the best of the
available positions.
