B180A03Y-GAT SEAT BELTS Driver's and passenger's 3-PointSystem with Webbing ClampLocking Retractor (If installed)To Fasten Your Belt To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tab into the buckle. There will be an audible"click" when the tab locks into the buckle. The seat belt automatically adjusts tothe proper length only after the lap belt is adjusted manually so that it fits snugly around your hips. B180A01L If there is a sudden stop or impact, however, the belt will lock into position.It will also lock if you try to lean forward too quickly. Check to make sure that the belt is properly locked and that thebelt is not twisted.

To adjust the height of the seat belt anchor, lower or raise the height ad-juster into an appropriate position. To raise the height adjuster, pull it up. To lower it, push it down while pressingthe height adjuster button. Release the button to lock the anchor into position. Try sliding the heightadjuster to make sure that it has locked into position.
WARNING:
o The height adjuster must be in the locked position when thevehicle is moving.
o The misadjustment of height of
the shoulder belt could reducethe effectiveness of the seat belt in a crash.

Adjustment is performed by moving the handle at the side of the backrest in a

SB070D3-E Head Restraint Adjustment To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower it, push it down whilst pressing the lock knob. For maximum effective- ness in the event of an accident, therestraint must be adjusted so that the restraint is approximately at the level of the seat occupant's eyes. The restraintmust never be so adjusted that it is centred about the level of the seat occupant's neck. WARNING:

If the height of the adjusting seat belt is too near your neck, you will not begetting the most effective protection. The shoulder portion should be ad- justed so that it lies across your chestand midway over your shoulder nearest the door and not your neck. To adjust the height of the seat beltanchor, lower or raise the height ad- juster into an appropriate position. To raise the height adjuster, pull it up. Tolower it, push it down whilst pressing the height adjuster button. Release the button to lock the anchorinto position. Try sliding the release button to make sure that it has locked into position.
WARNING:
o The height adjuster must be in the locked position when the vehicleis moving.
o The misadjustment of height of the shoulder belt could reduce theeffectiveness of the seat belt in acrash. B180A1A-EAT SEAT BELTS (3-Point Type) To Fasten The Seat Belt The seat belts are fastened by pulling the belt buckle towards the seat belt stalk and inserting the metal tongue of the buckle into the stalk. NOTE: When pulling the seat belt buckle towards the fastening position make sure the webbing is not twisted.
The buckle should be firmly pressedinto the stalk until locked which will beindicated by an audible "click". The length of the seat belt webbing will be automatically adjusted by the seatbelt mechanism to allow the wearer maximum freedom of movement whilst the belt is being worn. However, in theevent of rapid deceleration or impact, the belt mechanism will automatically lock.The mechanism will also lock if the seat belt webbing is withdrawn too quickly when the belt is being fastened or ifattempts are made to withdraw the webbing whilst the vehicle is not on level ground. Should the seat belt lockunder these conditions, it will be pos- sible to release the mechanism by al- lowing a small amount of webbing to beretracted and the belt withdrawn again.
