SB380A2-E The parking brake must always be set when the vehicle is to be left unattended.When the parking brake is applied, and the ignition key is at the "ON" position, the parking brake warning lamp will beilluminated. Before driving the vehicle, the parking brake must be fully released and the warning lamp extinguished.
o To engage the parking brake, first apply the foot brake and then without pressing the release button in, pull the parking brake lever up as far as pos- sible. B530A01FC-D
PARKING BRAKE
In addition it is recommended thatwhen parking the vehicle on a gradi-ent, the shift lever should be posi- tioned in the appropriate low gear on manual transmission vehicles or inthe Park position on automatic trans- mission vehicles.
o To release the parking brake, first apply the foot brake and pull up theparking brake lever slightly. Sec- ondly, depress the release buttonand lower the parking brake lever whilst holding the button.

SUNROOF
SB330A3-E (Not all models) The electrically operated sunroof may be used only whilst the ignition switch is at the "ON" position. The sunroof is equipped with a sunshade which maybe used whilst the sunroof is at the closed position to obscure incoming light.The sunshade is automatically opened whenever the sunroof is opened but must be manually closed by slidingforward after the sunroof is closed. When the sunroof is opened, the wind deflector will automatically rise to theupper position and will automatically retract when the sunroof is closed.
B470A01FC WARNING:
Never install or remove the sunshade whilst driving. To open the sunroof, depress and hold the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fully open position. The sunroof may beclosed by depressing and holding the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fullyclosed position.

The sunroof can be tilted and closed by depressing the button indicated. Re-lease the button when the sunroof reaches the up position. NOTE: The sunroof should not be opened when water or standing rain is on the roof panel. The multi box may be opened by pulling it out by its grip. It is used for storing small commodi-ties. If the multi box is removed, the fuse box for the lights and other electrical acces-sories will be exposed.

SB370A1-E INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR The interior mirror is of the day/night type to enable the glare of headlights from following vehicles to be eliminated during night time driving.The tab located at the bottom of the mirror should be set to the position nearest the windscreen for normal daytime driving, and flipped towards the rear of the vehicle to eliminate glare during night time driving. To adjust thefield of vision, the mirror may be moved by hand upon the mounting. NOTE: The mirror should always be ad- justed prior to setting the vehicle in motion. HXDFL2112

The visor may be lowered to reduce theamount of glare from directly ahead, or may be moved towards the side window to reduce glare from the side of thevehicle, once the inner pivot has been unclipped from the bracket.

B570A01FC-EAT Pull the release lever inside the vehicle to unlatch the bonnet. At the front of the vehicle, push the safety catch lever sidewards as shown and raise the bon-net by hand. Support the bonnet by means of the bonnet prop. Before closing the bonnet, ensure thatthe prop is correctly stowed. Lower the bonnet by hand to a position of approxi- mately 30cm from the closed positionand allow the bonnet to drop. Do not attempt to close the bonnet by lowering the panel to the closed position andpressing upon the panel work since this may result in damage to the panel.BONNET RELEASE

SB440A2-E (Not all models) The fuel filler flap may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on the fuel filler flap release. NOTE: If the fuel filler flap will not open because ice has formed around it, tap lightly or push on it to break theice and release it. Do not lever the flap. If necessary, spray around the flap with an approved deicer fluid(do not use radiator anti-freeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.
CAUTION:
Ensure that the bonnet prop has been removed prior to closing the bonnet. Always check to ensure thatthe bonnet has latched prior to set- ting the vehicle in motion.

o Automotive fuels are flammable/
explosive materials. When refuel- ing, please note the following guidelines carefully.
o Before touching the fuel nozzle or fuel filler cap, have one's hands incontact with metal parts away from the filler neck to discharge staticelectricity.
o Do not get back in the vehicle
whilst refueling. Do not operateanything that can produce static electricity. Static electricity dis- charge can ignite fuel vapors re-sulting in explosion.
o When using a portable fuel con-
tainer be sure to place the con-tainer on the ground whilst refuel- ing. Static electricity discharge from the container can ignite fuelvapors causing a fire. Whilst start- ing refueling contact should be maintained until the filling is com-plete. o Do not use cellular phones around
a gas station. The electric currentor electronic interference from cellular phones can ignite fuel vapors causing a fire.
o When refueling always shut the engine off. Sparks by electricalequipment of the engine can ig-nite fuel vapors causing a fire. After refueling, check to make sure the fuel filler cap is securely closed,and then start the engine.
o Do not smoke or try to light ciga-
rettes around a gas station. Auto-motive fuels are flammable.
