B055A02P-GAT LOADING YOUR VEHICLE Never load the luggage and people to exceed GVWR(MLW) and GAWR ofyour vehicle. You can find the GVWR(MLW) and GAWR -maximum loading capacities-on the VIN plate. The GVWR(Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) or MLW(Maximum LoadedWeight) means total weight of the ve- hicle, all occupants, fuel and cargo. And GAWR means the maximumweights that the front and rear axles can endure the weights including ve- hicle itself weight.

use the key with other immobi-lizer keys around. Otherwise the engine may not start or may stop soon after it starts.Keep each keys separately not to have any malfunction after you receive your new vehicle.
CAUTION:
If you cannot start your engine inspite of limp home procedure, haveyour vehicle towed by an autho- rized Hyundai dealer.
All of the locks fitted to the vehicle are operated by the same key. However, since it is possible to lock the doors without the use of the key, care shouldbe exercised to ensure that the key does not become locked inside thevehicle by mistake.If your vehicle is equipped with Theft- alarm system, the master keys with the function of transmitter will be pro-vided. (E.C only) NOTE: If you make your own duplicate key, you will not be able to cancel thesystem or start the engine.
CAUTION:
Do not install the metal accessoriesnear the key or ignition switch. Theengine may not start for the metal accessories may interrupt the tran- sponder signal from normally trans-mitting.

12ILLUMINATED IGNITION SWITCH
NOTE: You can get the limp home pass- word when the vehicle is first deliv- ered to you. If you do not have thepassword, consult your authorized Hyundai dealer.
1. To set the password you may turn the ignition key "ON" and then turn it "OFF" according to the digit num-bers, then the immobilizer indicator will blink along with the operation of the ignition key. For example, turnthe ignition key once for digit num- ber "1", and twice for "2", and so on. However, for the digit number "0",you must turn the ignition key for 10 times.
2. Wait for 3~10 seconds.
3. You may set the remaining number of digits by following the same pro-cedures 1 and 2.
4. If all of four digits have been tried successfully, turn the ignition key"ON" and check that the immobi-lizer indicator illuminates. From this time, you have to start your engine within 30 seconds. If you start yourengine after 30 seconds, your en- gine will not start. NOTE: If the engine dies while driving after limp home procedure, you can start your engine within 8 seconds with-out limp home procedure again.
5. If the immobilizer indicator blinks for
five seconds, you have to try the limp home procedure again from the beginning.
After doing the limp home procedure,you have to consult with your autho-rized Hyundai dealer as soon as pos- sible.
CAUTION:
o If you fail to try the limp home procedure with the sequence of three times, you have to wait for about one hour to do the limp home procedure again.
o If you cannot start your engine in spite of limp home procedure,have your vehicle towed by anauthorized Hyundai dealer.
! B120A02P-GAT (If installed) Whenever a front door is opened, the ignition switch will illuminate for yourconvenience. The light will go off when the ignition switch is turned on or 10 seconds afterclosing the door.

WARNING:
o Unlocked doors can be danger- ous. Before you drive away (es- pecially if there are children in the car), be sure that all the doorsare securely closed and locked so that the doors cannot be inad- vertently opened from the inside.This helps assure that doors will not be opened accidentally. Also, when combined with theproper use of seat belts, locking the doors helps keep occupants from being ejected from the carin case of an accident.

To prevent accidental closing of sliding door in slope, the sliding door shouldbe always fully opened. When the sliding door is open fully, it is locked in position.To close the sliding door, pressing the hold open lever, pull the door handle towards the front of the vehicle.

o Always double check to be sure that the hood is firmly latched before driving away. If it is not latched, the hood could fly openwhile the vehicle is being driven, causing a total loss of visibility, which might result in an acci-dent.

completely into the hole providedin the hood whenever you in- spect the engine compartment. This will prevent the hood fromfalling and possibly injuring you.
o Do not move the vehicle with the
