To flash the headlights, pull the switch lever toward you, then release it. The headlights can be flashed even thoughthe headlight switch is in the "OFF" position.

B340F01A-GATDaytime Running Lights (If Installed) Your Hyundai is equipped with day- time running lights. The daytime run-ning lights are used to improve visibil- ity for oncoming traffic. Your vehicle daytime running lights are designed toremain on continuously when the en- gine is operating even though the head- light switch is in the "OFF" position.However, the daytime running lights will be off while the parking brake is applied. The system automatically turns off the small light when the driver re- moves the ignition key and opensthe driver- side door.
o With this feature, the parklight will be
turned off automatically if the driverparks on the side of road at night.
If necessary, to keep the lights on whenthe ignition key is removed, perform the following :
1) Open the driver-side door.
2) Turn the parklights OFF and ON again using the light switch on thesteering column. To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away from you). The high beam indicator light willcome on at the same time. For low beams, pull the lever back toward you.OTB048093

The windshield wiper switch has three positions:
1. Intermittent wiper operation
2. Low-speed operation
3. High-speed operation HTB019ATo use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/washer lever toward the steer- ing wheel. When the washer lever is operated, the wipers automaticallymake two passes across the wind- shield. The washer continues to oper- ate until the lever is released.

NOTE: To prevent damage to the wiper system, do not attempt to wipe away heavy accumulations of snow orice. Accumulated snow and ice should be removed manually. If there is only a light layer of snow orice, operate the heater in the defrost mode to melt the snow or ice before using the wiper.

B370A01A-AAT HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessary to stop the car in a hazardous location.When you must make such an emer- gency stop, always pull off the road as far as possible.The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in on the hazard switch. This causes all turn signal lights toblink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not in the ignition.To turn the hazard warning lights off, push in on the switch a second time.

B380A01HP-AAT REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH The rear window defroster is turned on by pushing in on the switch. To turn thedefroster off, push in on the switch a second time. The rear window de- froster automatically turns itself off af-ter about 20 minutes. To restart the defroster cycle, push in on the switch again after it has turned itself off. HTB039CAUTION:
Do not clean the inner side of the rear window glass with an abrasive type of glass cleaner or use a scraperto remove foreign deposits from the inner surface of the glass as this may cause damage to the de-froster elements. NOTE: The engine must be running for the rear window defroster to operate.

To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When the ele-ment has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equivalent. There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are: HOUR -Push "H" to advance the hour
indicated.
MIN -Push "M" to advance the
minute indicated.
RESET - Push "R" to reset minutes to

Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 :29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 12 :29 changes the readout to 12 : 00.

The sunroof is moved toits fully open position by pushing the "Open" switch, and to stop at the de- sired position, push in any switches(Open, Close, Up, Down). 2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle’s tailgate or glove box.
3. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to open or clockwise to close thesunroof. HGK033B460E01TB-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected, if the sunroof is oper- ated with the hexagonal head wrenchmanually, or if the sunroof operation is stopped by that ignition key is turned to the "OFF" position while it is moving,you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing "open" "up" button at
the same time, turn the ignition switch "ON".
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the
sunroof is reset with tilting up/downautomatically once for all.
! CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.
