The purpose of the SRS is to provide the vehicle's driver or the front passen-ger with additional protection than that offered by the seat belt system alone, in case of a frontal impact of sufficientseverity. NOTE: Be sure to read information about the SRS on the labels provided onthe front side of the sun visor.
WARNING:
o As its name implies, the SRS is designed to work with, and be supplemental to, the driver's and the passenger's three point seatbelt systems and is not a substi- tute for them. Therefore your seat belts must be worn at all timeswhilst the vehicle is in motion. The airbags deploy only in certain frontal impact conditions severeenough to likely cause significant injury to the vehicle occupants.o The SRS is designed to deploy theairbags only when an impact is sufficiently severe and when the impact angle is less than 30° from the forward longitudinal axis ofthe vehicle and will not deploy in side, rear or rollover impacts. Additionally, the airbags will onlydeploy once. Thus, seat belts must be worn at all times.
o Front airbags are not intended to deploy in side-impact, rear-impactor rollover crashes. In addition, airbags will not normally deployin frontal crashes below the de- ployment threshold speed. Rear impact

!WARNING:
o When the SRS is activated, there may be a loud noise and fine dust will be released throughout thevehicle. These conditions are nor- mal and are not hazardous. How- ever, the fine dust generated dur-ing airbag deployment may cause skin irritation. Be sure to wash your hands and face thoroughlywith lukewarm water and a mild soap after an accident in which the airbags were deployed. B240B05L-R

o The SRS can function only when
the ignition key is in the "ON"position. If the SRS is not working properly,(1) The SRS SRI does not come on when the ignition key is turnedto the "ON" position or after the engine is started.
(2) The SRS SRI blinks for a sec- ond and remains on after illu-minating for approximately 6seconds when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started.
(3) The SRS SRI illuminates whilst driving.
If this occurs, have your vehicleimmediately inspected by your Hyundai authorised repairer.
o Before you replace a fuse or dis-
connect a battery terminal, turnthe ignition key to the "LOCK" position or remove the ignitionkey. Never remove or replace the air bag related fuse(s) when the ignition key is in the "ON" posi-tion. Failure to heed this warning will cause the SRS SRI to illumi- nate.
B990B01MC-EAT Side Impact Airbag (Not all models) Your Hyundai is equipped with a side impact airbag in each front seat. Thepurpose of the airbag is to provide the vehicle's driver and/or the front passen- ger with additional protection than thatoffered by the seat belt alone. The side impact airbags are designed to deploy only during certain side impact colli-sions, depending on the crash severity, angle, speed and point of impact. The side impact airbags are not designed todeploy in all side impact situations.

B260B01JM-EAT SRS (Airbag) Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)(Not all models)

This light also comes on when the SRS is not working properly. If the SRI does not come on, or continuously remainson after flashing for about 6 seconds when you turned the ignition key to the "ON" position or started the engine, orif it comes on whilst driving, have the SRS inspected by a Hyundai authorised repairer.

SB210K1-E Low Oil Pressure Warning Light
!CAUTION:
If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates when the engine is running,an insufficient oil pressure level for continued safe operation of the en- gine exists. Continued operation ofthe engine in this condition may result in serious engine damage. Under normal circumstances, the light will illuminate when the igni- tion is turned "on" and will be extin-guished when the engine is started. If the oil pressure warning light illu- minates whilst the engine is run-ning, stop the engine immediately and check the engine oil level. If the level is insufficient, add the required amount of oil as indicated by the engine oil dipstick. If the light fails to extinguish when the engineis restarted, do not continue to oper- ate the vehicle. If the oil pressure light illuminatesduring normal operation and the cause is not an insufficient oil level, or the light fails to illuminate whenthe ignition is turned "on", contact the nearest Hyundai authorised re- pairer before further operating thevehicle.
