The coolant level should be up to
the base of the f iller neck. Add
coolant if it is low.
Pourthecoolantslowlyand
caref ully so you do not spill any.
Clean up any spill immediately; it
could damage components in the
engine compartment.Do not add any rust inhibitors or
other additives to your vehicle’s
cooling system. They may not be
compatible with the coolant or
engine components.
Pour coolant into the reserve tank.
Fill it half way between the MAX
and MIN marks. Put the cap back
on the reserve tank.
Make sure the engine and radiator
are cool.
Relieve any pressure in the cooling
system by turning the radiator cap
counterclockwise, without
pressing down.
Remove the radiator cap by
pushing down and turning
counterclockwise. Put the radiator cap back on, and tighten it fully.

Remove the electrical connector
f rom the bulb by pulling the
connector straight back.
Remove the rubber weather seal
by pulling on the tab.Make sure that the hold-down
wire is installed properly and
securely. You can check its
installation f rom the inspection
window on the headlight assembly. Install the new bulb into the hole,
making sure the tabs are in their
slots. Pivot the hold-down wire
back in place, and clip the end into
the slot.Install the rubber seal over the
back of the headlight assembly.
Push the electrical connector onto
the new bulb. Make sure it is
connected securely. Turn on the
headlights to test the new bulb.
Reinstall the inner f ender cover.
Then reinstall the holding clip, and
lock it in place by pushing on its
center.
Unclip the end of the hold-down
wire f rom its slot. Pivot the wire
out of the way, then remove the
bulb.

To change the bulb on the driver’s
side, start the engine, turn the
steering wheel all the way to the
right, then turn of f the engine. To
change the bulb on the passenger’s
side, turn the steering wheel to the
lef t.Use a f lat-tip screwdriver to
remove the holding clip f rom the
inner f ender, then pull the inner
f ender cover back.
Reinstall the socket into the light
assembly by turning it clockwise
until it locks.
Pull the bulb straight out of its
socket. Push the new bulb straight
into the socket until it bottoms. Remove the socket by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise. Reinstall the inner f ender cover.
Then reinstall the holding clip, and
lock it in place by pushing on its
center. Turn on the lights to make sure
the new bulb is working.

The fog lights use halogen bulbs.
Wh en replacing a bulb, handle it
carefully. See page for more
inf ormation.
To remove the f og light assembly,
slide it inward, then caref ully pull
it out of the bumper. Remove the electrical connector
f rom the bulb by squeezing the
connector to unlock the tab, then
slide the connector of f the bulb.Insert the new bulb into the hole,
and turn it one-quarter turn
clockwise to lock it in place.
Push the electrical connector back
onto the bulb. Make sure it is on
all the way.
Turn on the f og lights to test the
new bulb.
Reinstall the f og light assembly,
then tighten the screw.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to
remove the screw. Remove the bulb by turning it
about one-quarter turn
counterclockwise.

Open the tailgate. Place a cloth on
the edge of the light assembly
cover. Remove the cover by
caref ully prying in the notch on its
middle edge with a f lat-tip
screwdriver.Determine which of the f our bulbs
is burned out: stop/taillight, back-
up light, turn signal light, or
taillight.
Remove the socket by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.Remove the burned out bulb f rom
the socket by pulling it straight out
of its socket.
Install the new bulb in the socket.
Turn on the lights to make sure
the new bulb is working.
Reinstall the socket into the light
assembly by turning it clockwise
until it locks.
Reinstall the light assembly cover.

Open the tailgate. Remove the
light assembly cover by pushing in
the tabs on both sides and pulling
the cover of f .
Remove the socket f rom the light
assembly by turning it one-quarter
turn counterclockwise.Put the socket back into the light
assembly, and turn it clockwise to
lock it in place.
Pull the bulb straight out of its
socket. Push the new bulb straight
into the socket until it bottoms.
Press the brake pedal to make
sure the new bulb is working. Put the cover back on the light

Disconnect the blade assembly
from the wiper arm:Press and hold the lock tab.
Slide the blade assembly toward
the lock tab until it releases
from the wiper arm. Remove the blade from the blade
assembly:
Findthesideof theblade
labeled ‘‘LOCK.’’ This is the side
you pull out.
Pull back the end of the blade
assembly on the ‘‘LOCK’’ side of
theblade.Thengrabtheendof
the blade, and slide it out.
To avoid damaging or bending the
blade assembly, do not pull its end
with too much force.
When replacing a wiper blade,
make sure not to drop the wiper
blade or wiper arm down on the
windshield. Examine the new wiper blades. If
they have no plastic or metal
reinf orcement along the back
edge, remove the metal
reinf orcement strips f rom the old
wiper blade, and install them in
the slots along the edge of the new
blade.

Install the new blade onto the
blade assembly:Pull back either end of the blade
assembly.
Place the side of the blade not
labeled‘‘LOCK’’ontheendof
the blade assembly, and slide
the blade onto the assembly
until it is f ully installed.
Slide the wiper blade assembly
onto the wiper arm. Make sure it
locks in place.
Make sure the blade is completely
installed and that its edge is not
bunched up.
Lower the wiper arm down against
the windshield, the passenger’s
side first, then the driver’s side. To replace the rear wiper blade:
Raise the wiper arm of f the glass.
Slidethebladeoutof thewiper
arm.
Examine the new wiper blade. If it
has no plastic or metal
reinf orcement along the back
edge, remove the metal
reinf orcement strips f rom the old
wiper blade and install them in the slots along the edge of the new
blade.
Slide the new blade into the wiper
arm. Make sure it is engaged in
the slot along its f ull length.
Lower the wiper arm.
