IMPORTANT To fasten bolt (A) use only the wrench supplied; never use
pneumatic screwer since the hooking system could be damaged. To
check the correct fastening of small wheel, or (where provided) normal
size spare wheel, follow attached table providing the number of rough
guide clicks to be heard in order that complete locking is ensured.

IMPORTANT Do not mount the cup on spare small wheel.
The space-saver spare wheel is narrower than the standard wheels and it
is only to be used to drive the distance necessary to reach a garage
where the flat wheel can be repaired.

REFITTING THE STANDARD WHEEL
❒Following the procedure described previously, raise the car and
remove the space-saver spare wheel;
❒fit the standard wheel.
Make sure that the resting surface of the spare wheel is clean and there is
no dirt that could cause the bolts to loosen.
❒Tighten the bolts with the wrench supplied;
❒Lower the car and remove the jack;
❒Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown before;
❒Make sure the retaining ring (B) is inserted in the seats of the hub cap
so that the protruding section of the inflation valve is aligned with
symbol
Cmarked on the inside of the hub cap;
❒Press-fit the wheel cap on the rim, making sure symbol
Con the inside
of the cap, corresponds with the inflation valve.
Incorrect fitting may cause the wheel cap to come off when the car is
travelling.

When you have finished:
❒place the space-saver spare wheel in the housing under the body
checking it is properly locked in place.
IMPORTANT To fasten bolt (A) use only the wrench supplied; never use
pneumatic screwer since the hooking system could be damaged. The
wheel is completely fastened when the bolt, after about 21 audible clicks,
cannot be fastened further on.
❒Return tools to their container as shown on label (D) and place them
in their recess in the boot;
❒Before closing the cover (B) fasten them with belt (C).
IMPORTANT Do not use inner tubes with Tubeless tyres.
Periodically check the pressure of the tyres and spare wheel.

WHEELS AND TYRES
TYRE PRESSURE
Check the pressure of each tyre, including the spare wheel, every two
weeks and before long journeys. The pressure should be checked with
the tyre rested and cold.
It is normal for the pressure to rise when you are driving; for the correct
tyre inflation pressure, see “Wheels” in “Technical specifications”
section.
Incorrect pressure causes abnormal tyre wear:
(A) - Correct pressure: tread evenly worn.
(B) - Underinflated tyre: shoulder tread wear.
(C) - Overinflated tyre: centre tread wear.
Tyres must be replaced when the tread wears down to 1.6 mm. In any
case, comply with the regulations in force in the country where the car is
being driven.
IMPORTANT NOTES
❒As far as possible, avoid sharp braking and screech starts, etc. Be
careful not to hit the kerb, potholes or other obstacles hard. Driving
for long stretches over bumpy roads can damage the tyres;
❒periodically check that the tyres have no cuts in the side wall,
abnormal swelling or irregular tyre wear. If any of these occur, contact
a Fiat Dealership.
❒avoid overloading the vehicle when travelling: this may cause serious
damage to the wheels and tyres.

MAINTENANCE
❒if a tyre is punctured, stop immediately and change
it to avoid damage to the tyre, the rim, suspensions
and steering system.
❒tyres age even if they are not used much. Cracks in
the tread rubber are a sign of ageing. In any case, if
the tyres have been on the car for over 6 years,
they should be checked by specialised personnel, to
see if they can still be used. Also remember to
check the space-saver spare wheel.
❒in the case of replacement, always fit new tyres,
avoiding those of dubious origin.
WARNINGRemember that road holding depends also on the correct tyre inflating pressure.
WARNINGIf the pressure is too low the tyre overheats and this can cause it serious damage.❒if a tyre is changed, also change the inflation valve.
❒to allow even wear between the front and rear
tyres, it is advisable to change them over every 10-
15 thousand kilometres, keeping them on the same
side of the car so as to not reverse the direction of
rotation.
WARNINGDo not cross switch the tyres, moving them from the right of the car to the left and
vice versa.
Never submit alloy rims to repainting treatments requiring to use temperatures
exceeding 150°C since the mechanical properties of the wheels could be
impaired.WARNING

All homologated tyres are listed in the log book.
IMPORTANT In the event of discrepancies between
the information provided on this OWNER
HANDBOOK and the LOG BOOK, consider the
specifications shown in the log book only.
Attaining to the prescribed size, to ensure safety of
the car in movement, it must be fitted with tyres of
the same make and type on all wheels.
IMPORTANT Do not use inner tubes with Tubeless
tyres.

UNDERSTANDING RIM MARKING
The following are the necessary indications to understand the meaning of
the markings on the rim, as shown in the figure.
Example: 6 J x 15 H2
6 = rim width in inches (1)
J = rim drop center outline (side projection where the tyre bead rests)
(2)
15 = rim nominal diameter in inches (corresponds to diameter of the
tyre to be mounted) (3 =Ø)
H2 = “hump“ shape and number (relief on the circumference holding the
TUBELESS tyre bead on the rim)
