FRONT PASSENGER'S AIR-BAG DEACTIVATIONCHILD SAFETYTHE ISOFIX FASTENING SYS-TEM
In order to be able to use a rear-facing child seat in the front pas-senger's seat position, it is impera-tive to deactivate the passenger's airbag.
For that:With the ignition switched off, insert the key into the switch A.Turn the key to the “OFF” posi-tion, the passenger's airbag is deactivated.
The front passenger's airbag deac-tivation warning lamp, in the instru-ment panel, lights up when you switch on the ignition.

OPERATION
The driver's and the front and rear passengers' seats have sensors that detect non-fastening/unfas-tening of the seat belts.
The fastened/non-fastened status of the seat belts for each type of seat is indicated by the illumination o r fl a s h i n g o f t h e w a r n i n g l a m p s 1, 2 and 3.
FUNCTIONING OF THE SYSTEM OF DETECTION
Driver's and front passenger's seats
When you switch on the ignition:If the driver's seat belt is not fastened, the warning lamp If1 illuminates in the instrument panel.If the passenger's seat belt is not fastened, the warning lamp If3 lights up.
A b o v e 2 0 k m / h ( 1 2 m p h ) , t h e w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r n o n - f a s t e n i n g / u n f a s -tening, accompanied by a message and a sound signal for around 2 min- u t e s . T h e n t h e w a r n i n g l a m p ( s ) 1 and/or 3 remain on.
Rear passengers' seats
When you switch on the ignition, warning lamp 2 lights up to make the driver and any passengers aware.
Once the doors are closed and the engine started, a message tells you the fastening status of the rear belts for 30 seconds.
After this time, if one or more of the rear belts are not fastened:Warning lamp 2 comes on, if your speed is less than around 2 0 k m / h ( 1 2 m p h ).Warning lamp 2 fl a s h e s , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a m e s s a g e a n d a s o u n d s i g n a l for about two minutes, if your speed is above around 2 0 k m / h ( 1 2 m p h ).Note:The detection of non-fastening of rear seat belts is deactivated when you switch off the ignition or if one of the vehicle's doors is opened.
A child seat installed on the front passenger's seat may not be detected.

To make it easier to open the doors, the windows automatically open by a few millimetres.Note: This movement occurs immediately you touch an interior door handle.
The window recloses, automati-cally adjusting for a perfect seal.
IMPORTANT
This function has no anti-pinch. Do not leave your hand on the window when you close the door
Any interruption of your vehicle's electrical supply will prevent the windows from opening and closing correctly.
Remark: Travelling at high speed, closing of windows may be hin-dered by the aerodynamic pres-sure. Acoustic comfort may then be adversely affected.
ELECTRICALLY-CONTROLLED CHILD SAFETY
This deactivates the controls in the rear of the vehicle, both for the rear win-dows and for opening the rear doors from the inside.
For Pack Lounge seats, the seat slide adjustments, and those fo r the front seats from the rear of the vehicle, are also deactivated.
Activation
The electric safety device is activated by pressing the control A located on t h e w i n d o w s c o n t r o l p a n e l . A m e s s a g e a p p e a r s t o c o n fi r m t h a t t h e c h i l d safety is activated.
It is still possible to open the doors from the outside and to operate the elec-tric windows from the front of the vehicle.
Before changing or repairing the battery, open all four windows.
If you unlock your vehicle using the key because of a problem with the battery, be aware that opening/closing a door wi th the window closed can seriously damage the glass, even to the point of breaking it.

REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS
The rear head restraints have two positions:A stowed position for when the Aseat is not occupied.
A deployed position for safety of Apassengers, locking into place including for a forward-fac-ing child seat.
To lower the head retraints, press on the tab at the base.
To raise them, pull them upwards to their maximum height, pressing the unlocking button.

ANGLE OF THE REAR LAT-ERAL HEAD RESTRAINTS
To alter the angle of the rear lateral head restraints, lift them then tilt them upwards.
LONGITUDINAL ADJUST-MENT OF THE FRONT PAS-SENGER'S SEAT
For more room for the rear passen-ger, it is possible for the front pas-senger's seat to be slid forwardfrom the rear seat position.
To slide the front passenger's seat forward, press on the control B at the centre of the armrest.
Remark: This control B is not active if adjustments are being made simultaneusly at the front.
The front passenger's seat will slide forward for as long as you keep control B pressed. It stops immedi-ately you release control B.
Remark: Use of the child safety deactivates button B. See “Win-dows”.
ADJUSTING THE SEAT AND ITS BACKREST
You can adjust the longitudinal position of the seat and the angleof its backrest simultaneously using the control A.
IMPORTANT
Pack Lounge seats cannot be folded.

CHILD SEATS SECURED BY MEANS OF THE VEHICLE SEAT BELT
In conformity with Directive 2000/3, the table tells you to what extent each of the seat positions in your vehicle may take a child seat that is secured by means of the vehicle seat belt and approved as “Univer-sal” as a function of the weight of the child.
Consult “User Precautions”, chapter on “Child Safety” at the end of this handbook, in order to ensure that you are installing your child in conditions of maxi-mum safety.

ISOFIX ANCHORING POINTS AND THE ISOFIX FASTEN-ING SYSTEM
Your vehicle is type-approved according to new ISOFIX direc-tives. The lateral rear seats of your vehicle are each equipped with regulation ISOFIX anchoring points.
Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises protec-tion of the child in the event of a col-lision. The ISOFIX system enables you to minimise the risks posed by i n c o r r e c t fi t t i n g . T h e I S O F I X f a s -tening system gives you a conven- i e n t , s t r o n g a n d r e l i a b l e fi t t i n g f o r a child seat in your vehicle.

The ISOFIX fastening sys-tem
The ISOFIX system features 3ringsfor each lateral rear seat position:Two bottom rings a and blocated between the backrest and the seat cushion. These are about 28 cm apart, con-cealed in the case of a bench- s e a t u n d e r a fl a p w i t h t h e l o g o ISOFIX.
