When properly installed, cellular
phones, alarms, two-way radios, and
low-powered audio systems should
not interfere with your vehicle’s
computer controlled systems, such
as your airbags and anti-lock brakes. Before
installing any accessory:
Make sure the accessory does not
obscure any lights, or interfere
with proper vehicle operation or
performance.
Modifying
your vehicle, or installing
some non-Acura accessories, can
make your vehicle unsafe. Before
you make any modifi cations or add
anyaccessories,besuretoreadthe
following information.
Your dealer has Acura accessories
that allow you to personalize your
vehicle. These accessories have
been designed and approved for your
vehicle, and are covered by warranty.
Before installing any electronic
accessory, have the installer
contact your dealer. If possible,
have your dealer inspect the final
installation. Be sure electronic accessories do
not overload electrical circuits
(see page ) or interf ere with
the proper operation of your
vehicle.
Do not install accessories on the
side pillars or across the rear
windows. In these areas,
accessories may interf ere with
proper operation of the side
curtain airbags.
Although non-Acura accessories may
f it on your vehicle, they may not
meet f actory specif ications, and
could adversely af f ect your vehicle’s
handling and stability.

If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, all stored
driving positions will be lost. To
store the driving positions again, see
the sto ring procedure on p age .
The navigation system will also
disableitself.Thenexttimeyouturn
on the ignition switch, the system
will require you to enter a PIN
before it can be used. Refer to the
navigation system manual. Turn the knob of the battery cover
toUNLOCKasshowninthe
illustration.
If your ve
hicle’s battery is

display. Use the preset buttons to
enter the fi ve-digit code (see page

power tilt and telescopic steering
wheel system will be disabled. The
system needs to be reset after
reconnecting the battery (see page ).
The c ompass System will also

digit anti-theft security code (see
page ). You will also need reset
the c lock according to the
instru ction of setting the clock (see

Ifthefuseforthedrivingposition
memory system is removed, all
stored driving positions will be lost.

If the navigation system fuse is
removed, the navigation system will

If the compass system fuse is
removed, the compass system will

If the radio fuse is removed, the
audio system will disable itself. The
next time you turn on the audio
system you will see ‘‘ ’’ in the
frequency display. Use the preset
buttons to enter the five-digit code
(see page ).
Ifthefuseforthepowertilt
telescopic steering is removed, the
system will be disabled. The system
needs to be reset after reinstalling
thefuse(seepage ).
