Parameter configuration
There are three buttons and a navi-
g a t o r t o e n a b l e y o u t o c o n t r o l t h e
s c r e e n :
- "MENU" to display the general
menu ,
- "MODE" t o c h a n g e t h e p e r m a -
n e n t a p p l i c a t i o n ( t r i p c o m p u t e r ,
d a t e , . . . ) ,
- "ESC" to abandon the operation
in progress,
- Rotation of the navigator: move-
m e n t o n t h e d i s p l a y o r c h a n g i n g
of a setting,
- Press on the navigator: c o n i r -
m a t i o n o f t h e s e l e c t i o n . Presentation
It displays the following information:
- the time,
- the date,
- the exterior temperature (this l a s h e s i f t h e r e i s a r i s k o f i c e ) ,
- t h e a c c e s s e s c h e c k ( d o o r s , b o o t , . . . ) ,
- the warning messages (e.g.: "Depol- l u t i o n s y s t e m f a u l t y " ) o r i n f o r m a t i o n
m e s s a g e s ( e . g . : " A u t o m a t i c h e a d -
l a m p l i g h t i n g a c t i v a t e d " ) , d i s p l a y e d
t e m p o r a r i l y , c a n b e c l e a r e d b y p r e s s -
ing the "ESC" button,

Displays on the screen
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , t h i s
displays the following information au-
t o m a t i c a l l y a n d d i r e c t l y :
- the time,

- the outside temperature (if there i s a r i s k o f i c e , y o u a r e w a r n e d b y
a m e s s a g e ) .

press the "MENU" button to gain
a c c e s s t o t h e general menu ,
turn the dial to move the
s e l e c t i o n ,
p r e s s t h e d i a l t o c o n i r m t h e
s e l e c t i o n ,
or
press the "ESC" button to abandon
the operation in progress and
return to the previous display.

S p e c i a l f r o n t w i n d s c r e e n
wiper position
Within one minute of switching off
the ignition, operate the wipers
stalk to position the wiper blades
in the centre of the windscreen
(maintenance position).
C h a n g i n g a w i p e r b l a d e
Lift the wiper arm, then unclip the
blade and remove it.
Fit the new blade and push back
the arm.
Note: t h e s h o r t e s t b l a d e i s i t t e d o n
the vehicle’s right-hand windscreen
wiper arm.
T o r e t u r n t h e w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r s
t o t h e i r n o r m a l p o s i t i o n , s w i t c h o n
t h e i g n i t i o n a n d o p e r a t e t h e w i p e r
stalk.
BATTERY
T o c h a r g e t h e b a t t e r y u s i n g a
b a t t e r y c h a r g e r :
- Disconnect the battery starting
with the negative (-) terminal,
- Follow the instructions for use given by the battery charger
manufacturer,
- Check that the terminals and connectors are clean; if they are
covered with sulphate (white or
greenish deposit), disconnect
them and clean them,
- Reconnect the battery starting with the negative (-) terminal. Before disconnecting the
battery, you must wait for
2 minutes after switching off
the ignition.
Never disconnect a terminal when
the engine is running.
N e v e r c h a r g e a b a t t e r y w i t h o u t i r s t
disconnecting the terminals.
Close the windows and sunroof
before disconnecting the battery.
If they do not operate normally
following reconnection of the
battery, they must be reinitialised
(see sections "Reinitialisation of the
electric windows" and "Sunroof").
After every reconnection of the
battery, switch on the ignition and
wait 1 minute before starting to
allow the electronic systems to be
i n i t i a l i s e d . I f s l i g h t d i f i c u l t i e s a r e
experienced after this, please contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Following disconnection of the battery,
the remote control key and the GPS
satellite navigation system must
be reinitialised (see corresponding
section).
I t i s a d v i s a b l e t o d i s c o n n e c t t h e
b a t t e r y i f t h e v e h i c l e i s n o t t o b e
u s e d f o r a p e r i o d o f m o r e t h a n
one month.
T o s t a r t t h e v e h i c l e f r o m a n o t h e r
b a t t e r y :
- Connect the red cable to the positive (+) terminals of the two
batteries,
- Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative (-)
terminal of the slave battery,
- Connect the other end of the green or black cable to an earth point on
the broken down vehicle as far as
possible from the battery,
-
Operate the starter, let the engine run,
- Wait for the engine to return to idle, then disconnect the cables. The batteries contain harmful
substances such as sulphuric
acid and lead. They must be
disposed of in accordance
with regulations and must never be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control and vehicle
batteries to an approved collection
point.
