T h e r e a r s p e a k e r s t r a n s m i t a n a u d i -
b l e s i g n a l :
- on the right if an obstacle is d e t e c t e d o n t h e r i g h t ,
- on the left if an obstacle is d e t e c t e d o n t h e l e f t ,
- on the right and on the left if an obstacle is detected in the
centre.
W h e n t h e d i s t a n c e b e t w e e n t h e r e a r
of the vehicle and the obstacle is less
t h a n a p p r o x i m a t e l y t w e n t y - i v e c e n t i -
m e t r e s , t h e a u d i b l e s i g n a l b e c o m e s
continuous and the "Danger" symbol

Switching the system off
T h i s s y s t e m c o n s i s t s o f f o u r p r o x i m i t y
s e n s o r s , l o c a t e d i n t h e r e a r b u m p e r .
T h i s d e t e c t s a n y o b s t a c l e ( p e r s o n ,
v e h i c l e , t r e e , g a t e , e t c . ) b e h i n d t h e
v e h i c l e . N e v e r t h e l e s s , i t c a n n o t d e -
t e c t o b s t a c l e s l o c a t e d j u s t b e l o w t h e
b u m p e r .
A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , a r o a d -
w o r k s c o n e o r a n y o t h e r s i m i l a r o b j e c t
may be detected at the beginning of
t h e m a n o e u v r e , b u t m a y n o l o n g e r
b e d e t e c t e d w h e n t h e v e h i c l e c o m e s
close to it.

Activation
The system is activated as soon as
reverse gear is engaged.

o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
