- a f a u l t i n t h e f r o n t a i r b a g s o r s i d e air bags,
or

a f a u l t i n t h e p o p - u p r o l l - o v e r h o o p s ,
located in the rear head restraints.

the indicator light remains on.

warning light
This comes on each time
t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n .
I t s h o u l d s w i t c h o f f a f e w s e c o n d s a f -
ter the engine is started.
I f t h e l i g h t c o m e s o n w h e n t h e e n g i n e
i s r u n n i n g , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e m u l t i f u n c -
t i o n d i s p l a y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s a m a l f u n c -
tion of the emission control system.

Anti-lock braking system
(ABS) warning light
This light comes on for a
f e w s e c o n d s e a c h t i m e t h e
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n .
If it remains on or comes on above
8 m p h ( 1 2 k m / h ) , t h i s i n d i c a t e s a
malfunction of the ABS.
H o w e v e r , t h e v e h i c l e r e t a i n s c o n v e n -
t i o n a l s e r v o - a s s i s t e d b r a k i n g .

n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s -

t o t h e A B S w a r n i n g l i g h t .
Stop immediately i n t h e l a s t t w o c a s e s .

Seat belt unfastened/not
fastened warning light
When the ignition is
s w i t c h e d o n , t h e l i g h t c o m e s
on if the driver has not fastened his
seat belt.
With the engine running and the
d o o r s c l o s e d , t h e l i g h t g o e s o u t a u t o -
matically after 30 seconds.
I f t h e s e a t b e l t i s u n f a s t e n e d :
- b e l o w 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , t h e l i g h t comes on constantly, - a b o v e 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) a n d f o r
t w o m i n u t e s , t h e l i g h t l a s h e s a c -
c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l
of increasing volume. Once these
t w o m i n u t e s h a v e e l a p s e d , t h e
light remains on until the driver
fastens his seat belt.
