- d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s t o s e e w i t h o u t dazzling other drivers,
- m a i n b e a m h e a d l a m p s f o r g o o d v i s - i b i l i t y w h e n t h e r o a d i s c l e a r .
Additional lighting
O t h e r l i g h t s a r e i n s t a l l e d t o r e s p o n d t o
p a r t i c u l a r d r i v i n g c o n d i t i o n s :
- r e a r f o g l a m p s t o b e s e e n f r o m a distance,
- f r o n t f o g l a m p s f o r e v e n b e t t e r v i s - ibility,

T h e t r i g g e r i n g o f a n a u d i b l e s i g -
n a l w h e n a d o o r i s o p e n e d w a r n s
the driver that he has forgotten to
s w i t c h o f f h i s v e h i c l e ' s l i g h t s , w i t h
the ignition off.
I n t h i s c a s e , s w i t c h i n g o f f t h e l i g h t s
w i l l s t o p t h e a u d i b l e s i g n a l .
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o f f , i f
t h e d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s r e m a i n o n ,
t h e y w i l l b e s w i t c h e d o f f a u t o m a t i -
c a l l y a f t e r t h i r t y m i n u t e s t o p r e v e n t
discharging of the battery. This indicator light comes on
o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l .

Daytime lights *
O n v e h i c l e s i t t e d w i t h d a y t i m e l i g h t s ,
t h e d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s c o m e o n w h e n
the vehicle is started.
T h e i n s t r u m e n t s a n d c o n t r o l s ( i n s t r u -
m e n t p a n e l , m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y , a i r
c o n d i t i o n i n g c o n t r o l p a n e l , . . . ) a r e n o t
l i t , u n l e s s t h e a u t o m a t i c s w i t c h i n g o n o f
the lights mode is activated or the lights

Automatic lighting
T h e s i d e l i g h t s a n d d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s
a r e s w i t c h e d o n a u t o m a t i c a l l y , w i t h o u t
a n y a c t i o n o n t h e p a r t o f t h e d r i v e r , w h e n
a l o w l e v e l o f e x t e r n a l l i g h t i s d e t e c t e d
(sensor behind the interior mirror).
As soon as the brightness returns to a
s u f i c i e n t l e v e l , t h e l i g h t s a r e s w i t c h e d
off automatically.
"Follow-me-home" lighting
T h e d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s r e m a i n o n t e m -
p o r a r i l y , a f t e r s w i t c h i n g o f f t h e v e h i c l e ' s
ignition, to make the driver's exit easier
i n p o o r l i g h t .
Activation
With the ignition off, activate a
" h e a d l a m p l a s h " u s i n g l e v e r B .
A s e c o n d " h e a d l a m p l a s h " s w i t c h e s
the function off again.
Switching off
T h e " f o l l o w - m e - h o m e " l i g h t i n g i s s w i t c h e d
o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y f o l l o w i n g t h e d o o r l o c k -
ing command, after a given time.
Activation
Turn ring A to the "AUTO" p o s i t i o n .
T h e a u t o m a t i c l i g h t i n g i s a c c o m p a -
n i e d b y a m e s s a g e o n t h e m u l t i f u n c -
t i o n d i s p l a y .
Switching off
Turn ring A t o a p o s i t i o n o t h e r t h a n

In the event of a malfunction of
the brightness sensor, the lights
c o m e o n a c c o m p a n i e d b y t h e

b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e m u l t i -
f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
