Changing the remote control battery
First, retract the key-carrier if necessary.
Unclip the housing by lifting at the rear (see diagram).
Battery: CR 0523 of 3 V.
Re-initialisation of the remote control
After a change of battery, it may be necessary to re-initialise the remote control. To do that, switch on the ignition and immediately action button Aon your remote control to trigger the action desired. This may ta ke some ten seconds.Note: Make a careful note of the numbers for the keys and for the remot e control on the ASSISTANCE card. Keep this in a safe place.
Do not throw away the old batteries. They should be returned to a CITROËN dealerDo not throw away Do not throw or deposited at a recognised collection point (a camera dealershop, for example).
Except when reinitialising, the remote control cannot function while the key is in the ignition, even when switched off.
Warning: by inadvertently actioning the remote control, wh en for example it is in your pocket, you can unlock the vehicle without your realising it.
However, if none of the doors is opened within thirty seconds following an unlocking, the doors will automatically relock.
Warning: there is a risk of damage if the replacement batte ry is not the correct one.

Locating of the vehicle
To locate the vehicle on a carpark, press button A, the interior lamps come on and the direction indica-tors fl ash for a few seconds. The vehicle remains locked.
Folding and ejecting the key
Button C is for folding and eject-ing the key from its housing in the remote control.
If you do not press on button C, you could damage the key mecha-nism.

Trip computer
To enter the distance to be trav-elled on the trip computer:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Trip computer”, then confi rm with a press on C.Select entry of distance using B. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
To choose the distance, select the fi gure you wish to modify by using B, then confi rm with a press on C.
Use B to adjust the value, then validate by pressing C.Validate “OK” on the screen.
To access the trip computer's log of alerts:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Trip computer”, then confi rm with a press on C.Select the log of alerts.
When the list displays, use B to scroll through it.
Press D to return to the perma-nent display.
To access the status of functions: proceed in a similar manner.











Personalisation/Confi guration
To activate/deactivate rear screen wipe on engaging reverse gear:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.Then select the sub-menu for the vehicle parameters. Con-fi rm your choice with a press on C.
Use B to select parking assist-ance. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
Then with a press on C, select/deselect rear screen wipe to activate or deactivate it.Validate “OK” on the screen.Note: The activation/deactivation registers immediately.
To activate/deactivate the auto-matic guide-me-home lighting:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.
Then select the sub-menu for the vehicle parameters. Con-fi rm your choice with a press on C.









Using B, select lighting and signalling. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.Then press C to select/deselect the guide-me-home lighting, to activate/ deactivate it. After activation, choose the duration: press C then use B to select the duration, then press C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.

Proximity sensors are located in the rear bumper of your vehicle.
When you are manœuvring in reverse gear at a speed of less than around 10 km/h, they inform you of the presence of any obsta-cle located within their detection zone, by means of:An audible signal emitted by the rear loudspeakers on the LH and/or RH side.Display of the outline of your vehicle with shading corre-sponding to the area where an obstacle is detected.
As the vehicle approaches the obstacle, the sound signal becomes more and more urgent and the shaded areas are displayed closer and closer to the vehicle.
When the obstacle is less than around 25 centimetres from the vehicle, the sound signal becomes continuous with display of a “WARNING” panel on the screen.


Operation
When you engage reverse gear, a sound signal confi rms to you that the system is active. The outline of your vehicle appears on the screen. Any obstacles situated to the rear of your vehicle can be detected.
Remarks:The proximity sensors cannot detect objects that are immedi-ately under or over the bump-ers.
A thin object such as a spike, a bollard or similar, can only be detected at the start of the manœuvre but not when the vehicle arrives close up to it.In poor weather or in winter, you need to ensure that the sensors are not covered with mud or with ice or snow.



Activation/Deactivation
You can activate/deactivate the parking assistance by pressing button 1. When the parking assist-ance is inactive, the warning lamp on button 1 is lit up.
Activation/deactivation of the park-ing assistance is memorised when you stop the vehicle.
Remark: The system is deacti-vated automatically if a trailer is attached to the vehicle.

Starting the engine with an assisting battery
If the battery is discharged, it is possible to use either a separate emergency battery or a battery on another vehicle.A. Dischargedbattery (Under the bonnet).B. Assisting battery.C. Earth point on broken down vehicle.
Check that the assisting battery has suffi cient voltage (12 V).
If you use the battery on another vehicle, stop the engine on the latter. The two vehicles must not come into direct contact wit h each other.
Connect the cables according to the order indicated in the dia-ordergram. Check that the leads are well secured (risk of sparks).
Start the engine of the assisting vehicle. Let the engine run for around 1 minute at a slightly accelerated idle.
Operate the starter on the vehicle being assisted.
It is essential to follow the indicated sequence correctly .
Never approach with a fl ame or create sparks in the vicinity of the battery (explosive gas).
The battery contains dilute sulphuric acid which is highly corrosive.
When handling batteries, always protect your face a nd especially your eyes.
In the event of any contact with the skin, rinse immediatel y with copious amounts of fresh water.
Advice
Do not touch the leads during the operation.
Do not lean over the batteries.
Disconnect the cables in reverse order, making sure they do not touch together.
