Indication by the emergency flashers and 
acoustic soundIf the vehicle doors are unlocked or locked, a re-
sponse is provided by the emergency flashers and 
acoustic sound (only when locking):
Unlocking with the remote control
– The hazard warning lights flash once. 
Unlocking by pressing the button in the door 
handle on vehicles with Porsche Entry & 
Drive
– The hazard warning lights do not flash.
Locking
– The hazard warning lights flash twice.
– An acoustic signal will sound twice.
In the multi-purpose display of the instrument pan-
el, you can set the check-back signal when locking 
and unlocking the vehicle and save it on the re-
spective remote control.

Central locking buttonCentral locking buttons A in the armrests let you 
lock and unlock the vehicle electrically.
fPress the button A symbol.
All vehicle doors will be locked.
Each door can be opened by pulling the inner 
door handle twice.

If activated on the rear doors, only the relevant 
door will be unlocked.
Note on operation
If the vehicle was locked with the key or by remote 
control, it cannot be unlocked with the central 
locking button.

on the rear doors and the rear control panel for 
the air conditioning can be disabled using the safe-
ty button B in the armrest of the driver’s door.

Danger of injury. The window will close with 
its full closing force.
fTake care to ensure that nobody can be injured when the windows close.
Opening and closing windows
fHold the car key in the door lock in the unlock-
ing or locking position until the windows have 
reached the desired position.
If you unlock the vehicle with the key at the door 
lock, only the driver’s door is unlocked. In order to 
prevent the alarm system from being triggered, 
you must switch the ignition on within 15 seconds 
of opening the door.
Closing windows
fHold the button in the door handle when lock-
ing the vehicle until the windows and the Pano-
rama roof system have reached the desired 
position.
Note on operation
The comfort function remains available for approx. 
30 seconds after the vehicle has been locked.
Storing final position of the door windowsThe end positions of the door windows are lost 
when the battery is disconnected and reconnect-
ed. The one-touch operation of the windows is dis-
abled.
Perform these procedures for all windows:
1. Close window completely once by pulling rock-
er switch.
2. Open window completely again by pressing 
rocker switch.The power windows, the central locking buttons 
on the rear doors and the rear control panel for 
the air conditioning can be disabled using the safe-
ty button C in the armrest of the driver’s door.

Rear SeatsThe rear seats are divided and can be folded 
forward individually to make the loadspace bigger. 
 Caution!
Risk of damage to seat cushions, backrest, 
and seat belt if only the backrest is folded 
forward.
fAlways fold seat cushions and backrest forward.
Folding rear seats forwardIf the luggage safety net is installed, first set up 
the left seat cushion in a vertical position and fold 
the left rear seat backrest forward.On vehicles with automatically controlled 
four-zone air conditioning:
fPress the safety button in the driver's door 
armrest before folding the rear seats forward.
The rear control panel for the air conditioning 
ceases to function. 
This prevents unintentional adjustment of the 
air conditioning.

1. Remove the headrests of the backrest to be 
folded forward. 
Therefore:

2. Move front seats forward.
3. Pull seat cushion up at loop A.
4. Pull seat cushion forward (arrow B).

Steering WheelTiptronic rocker switchesThe Porsche Tiptronic is a six-speed transmission 
and features an “automatic” and a “manual” gear-
shift mode.
You can change temporarily to manual mode using 
rocker switches A on the steering wheel.

HornfPress button B to operate the horn.Airbag unitAirbag unit C is located behind the padded steer-
ing wheel boss.
In conjunction with the safety belts, the “airbag” is 
a safety system designed to provide the driver and 
passengers with maximum protection from injury 
in an accident. 
fPlease observe the chapter “AIRBAG SYS-
TEMS” on Page 50.
Steering Wheel HeatingIf the interior temperature in the vehicle is lower 
than +54°F (+12°C)when the ignition is switched 
on, the steering wheel heating is switched on au-
tomatically.
When this happens, the steering wheel adjusts to 
a temperature of +73°F (+23°C). 
If the interior temperature rises above +71°F 
(+22°C) when the vehicle is operational, the steer-
ing wheel heating switches off again.
On vehicles with manual air conditioning
The steering wheel heating switches itself on 
when the following criteria are fulfilled at the same 
time:
1. Low outside temperature.
2. The interior temperature setting in the display 
of the air conditioning is 10 and more bars.
The steering wheel heating switches itself off 
again after a warm-up phase, or is switched off, 
when the interior temperature setting in the dis-
play of the air conditioning is less than 10 bars.

Manual Air ConditioningAir quantity, air distribution, and temperature 
can be set on the control panel of the manual air 
conditioning.
This individual adjustment is shown on the 
air-conditioning display panel.
Note on operation
The air conditioner settings are stored on the 
respective remote control when switching off the 
ignition and locking the vehic l e .  T he  “A i r  fl o w  O F F ”  
setting is stored for approx. 60 minutes and the 
“Recirculated air” setting is stored for approx. 
20 minutes.
DisplayThe air-conditioning display panel shows the 
following:
– Air quantity,
–Air distribution,
– Selected interior temperature,
– Individual settings,
– Time that is identical to that shown in the 
instrument panel.
