Jum p-starting
If the starter battery is disc harged and the
ve hicle do es not star t, the engine can be
ju mp -starte dfrom another vehi cle using
ju mp leads. Obse rve the followi ngpoints:

If the star ting attempt fails:
6 Turn the key to pos itio n 0 in the ig-
nition lock.
6 Remove the key.
6 Start the oth ervehicl e’s engine and
le tit ru nfo r a few mi nu tes.
6 Reinsert the key into the ignition
loc kand star tyou rveh icle wit hin
30 seco ndsof sw itch ing onthei gn i-
tion.
6 When the en gine isrunn ing, sw itch on
so me elec tric al co nsumers, e. g.the
blower.
