Make sure that your vehicle does not miss the first 5,000 km inspec- tions. After the first 5,000 km of driving, take your vehicle to your nearest service shop for inspection. B055A02P-GAT LOADING YOUR VEHICLE Never load the luggage and people to exceed GVWR(MLW) and GAWR ofyour vehicle. You can find the GVWR(MLW) and GAWR -maximum loading capacities-on the VIN plate. The GVWR(Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) or MLW(Maximum LoadedWeight) means total weight of the ve- hicle, all occupants, fuel and cargo. And GAWR means the maximumweights that the front and rear axles can endure the weights including ve- hicle itself weight.

B070A01P-GAT MAINTENANCE It is necessary to maintain your vehicle in top operating condition in order to enjoy safe and pleasant driving.Some maintenance items can be done by the owner (Consumer information), while others should be done only by anauthorized dealer (periodic inspection and maintenance). For the maintenance items to be doneby the owner, prepare the appropriate materials and tools and follow the pro- cedures given in the "Consumer infor- mation" section of this manual. However, the periodic inspection andmaintenance should not be attempted by the owner, but should be done by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.Correct performance of the periodic inspection and maintenance items re- quires specialized knowledge andequipment. Having these items performed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer with thelatest technology and equipment will ensure that your vehicle is maintained for optimum performance, economy,and safety. In addition, having all periodic inspec-tion and maintenance done by an au-thorized HYUNDAI dealer is a prereq- uisite for validity of the warranty on your vehicle in the event of a claim.Refer to the separate "Service Book- let" for the periodic inspection and maintenance items and intervals. 1. Close all doors.
2. Push the button on the transmitter.
3. At the same time all doors lock, the turn signal lights will blink once toindicate that the system is armed.
Unlocking doors 1. Push the button on the transmitter once more after all doors were locked.
2. At the same time all doors unlock,
the turn signal lights will blink twiceto indicate that the system is dis- armed. NOTE:
o The transmitter will not work if any
of following occur:
- The ignition key is in ignition
switch.
- You exceed the operating dis-
tance limit (10 m).
- The battery in the transmitter is weak.
- Other vehicles or objects may be blocking the signal.
- The weather is extremely cold.
- The transmitter is close to a
radio transmitter such as a radio station or an airport which can interfere with normal operationof the transmitter.
When the transmitter does not workcorrectly, open and close the doorwith the ignition key. If you have a problem with the transmitter, con- tact an authorized Hyundai Dealer.
o Keep the transmitter away from water or any liquid. If the keylessentry system is inoperative due toexposure to water or liquids, it will not be covered by your manufac- turer vehicle warranty.
B070E02P-AAT Replacing the battery When the transmitter's battery be- comes weak, it may take several pushes on the button to lock or unlockthe doors, and the LED will not light. Replace the battery as soon as pos- sible. Battery type : CR1220 (Minibus/Van) CR2032 (Truck)

1. Remove the screw with a phillips screwdriver.

These procedures must be performed at the intervals shown in the mainte-nance schedule to assure that your warranty remains in effect. Although it is strongly recommended that they beperformed by the factory-trained or distributor-trained technicians at your Hyundai dealer, these procedures maybe performed at any qualified service facility. Hyundai can be divided into three main areas: o Specified scheduled procedures o General checks o Do-it-yourself maintenance It is suggested that genuine Hyundai
service parts be used for any requiredrepairs or replacements. Other parts of equivalent quality such as engine oil, engine coolant, manual or autotransaxle oil, brake fluid and so on which are not supplied by Hyundai Motor Company or its distributor maybe used without affecting your war- ranty coverage but you should always be sure these are equivalent to thequality of the original Hyundai parts. A Few Tips
Whenever you have your Hyundai ser- viced, keep copies of the service records in your glovebox. This will help ensure that you can document that therequired procedures have been per- formed to keep your warranties in ef- fect. This is especially important whenservice is not performed by an autho- rized Hyundai dealer. F020A03S-GAT Inspection should be performed any time a malfunction is experienced or suspected.
