B460B01GK-GAT Opening the Sunroof System The sunroof can be electrically opened or closed with the ignition key in the "ON" position. The sunroof is moved toits fully open position by pushing the "Open" switch, and to stop at the de- sired position, push in any switches(Open, Close, Up, Down). To close, press and hold the "CLOSE" button. Release the button when the sunroofreaches the desired position. HFC2021

B460C01GK-GAT Tilting the Sunroof System The sunroof is moved to its fully tilt up position by pushing the "UP" switch, and to stop at the desired position,push in any switches (Open, Close, Up, Down). To tilt down, press and hold the"DOWN" button. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any water that is on the sunroof before oper-ating it.
WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone’s hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in in-jury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when it is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that may have accumulated on theguide rails.

2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's luggage compartmentor glove box.
3. Turn the wrench counterclockwise
to open or clockwise to close thesunroof. HGK033B460E01TB-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected, if the sunroof is oper- ated with the hexagonal head wrenchmanually, or if the sunroof operation is stopped by that ignition key is turned to the "OFF" position while it is moving,you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing "open" "up" button at
the same time, turn the ignition switch "ON".
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the
sunroof is reset with tilting up/downautomatically once for all.
! CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

o The hatchback door can be locked or unlocked with a key.
o The hatchback door is opened by pulling the outside handle up, raising the hatchback door manually.
o To close, lower the hatchback door, then press down on it until it isclosed. To be sure the hatchback door is fully closed, always try to pullit up again without using the outside handle.o Do not get back in the vehicle
while refueling. Do not operate anything that can produce static electricity. Static electricity dis-charge can ignite fuel vapors re- sulting in explosion.
o When using a portable fuel con-
tainer be sure to place the con-tainer on the ground while refuel- ing. Static electricity dischargefrom the container can ignite fuel vapors causing a fire. While start- ing refueling contact should bemaintained until the filling is com- plete.
o Do not use cellular phones around a gas station. The electric current or electronic interference fromcellular phones can ignite fuel vapors causing a fire.
o When refueling always shut the
engine off. Sparks by electricalequipment of the engine can ig- nite fuel vapors causing a fire.After refueling, check to make sure the fuel filler cap is securely closed, and then start the engine.
o Do not smoke or try to light ciga- rettes around a gas station. Auto-motive fuels are flammable.

o Station Swapping - As a FM signal weakens, another more powerful signal near the same frequency may begin to play. This is because your radio is designed to lock onto theclearest signal. If this occurs, select another station with a stronger sig- nal.
o Multi-Path Cancellation - Radio sig- nals being received from severaldirections can cause distortion orfluttering. This can be caused by a direct and reflected signal from the same station, or by signals from twostations with close frequencies. If this occurs, select another station until the condition has passed.
o Fading - As your car moves away
from the radio station, the signal willweaken and sound will begin to fade. When this occurs, we suggest that you select another stronger sta-tion.
o Flutter/Static - Weak FM signals or
large obstructions between thetransmitter and your radio can dis- turb the signal causing static or flut- tering noises to occur. Reducing thetreble level may lessen this effect until the disturbance clears. B750B03Y-EAT Using a cellular phone or a two- way radio When a cellular phone is used inside the vehicle, noise may be produced from the audio equipment. This doesnot mean that something is wrong with the audio equipment. In such a case, use the cellular phone at a place as faras possible from the audio equipment.

When using a communication sys- tem such a cellular phone or a radio set inside the vehicle, a separate external antenna must be fitted. When a cellular phone or a radio setis used with an internal antenna alone, it may interfere with the vehicle's electrical system and ad-versely affect safe operation of the vehicle.

ZC170C1-E Anti-freeze/Corrosion inhibitor The cooling system must always con- tain an Ethylene-Glycol based anti-freeze solution. The system is filled during manufacture with solution of the correct strength which should bechecked before the onset of winter and adjusted or changed as required. NOTE: The anti-freeze solution contains a corrosion inhibitor to prevent deg- radation of the aluminum castings contained within the engine. There-fore, never, drain the system and refill with water only. In addition, anti-freeze solution must ALWAYS be used in vehicles fitted with air conditioning, to prevent theheater matrix from freezing and sub- sequently bursting with the refrigera- tion system in use.
SC160A1-F SMOOTH CORNERING Avoid braking or gear changing in cor- ners, especially when roads are wet.Ideally, corners should always be taken under gentle acceleration. If you follow these suggestions, tyre wear will beheld to a minimum.
SC170A1-E WINTER MOTORING The onset of winter conditions subject motor vehicles to greater operating demands. Therefore, the followingsuggestions will assist in maintaining peak performance and reliability dur- ing these periods: ZC170B1-E Electrical System Winter conditions impose severe de- mands upon vehicle electrical systems, particularly the charging circuit. The battery condition and performancealong with the alternator performance and drive belt condition should be checked prior to the onset of winter.
o Remember, your car does not re-
quire extended warm-up. As soonas the engine is running smoothly,you can drive away. In very cold weather, however, give your engine a slightly longer warm-up period.
o Don't "lug" or "over-rev" the engine. Lugging is driving too slowly in toohigh a gear resulting in the enginebucking. If this happens to you, shift to a lower gear. Over-revving is racing the enginebeyond its safe limit. This can be avoided by shifting at the recom- mended speeds.
o Use your air conditioning sparingly. The air conditioning system is oper-ated by the engine power so yourfuel economy is reduced when you use it.

The use of a proprietary stabiliser will assist in achieving an inherently stable outfit but whilst the use of such equip-ment will improve the characteristics of a balanced outfit, it will not compen- sate for a badly loaded and thereforeunstable outfit. The tyres and braking equipment fitted to the trailer or caravan must be main- tained in accordance with the recom- mendations of the manufacturer. Spe-cial attention should be paid to tyres which deteriorate through time and exposure rather than as a result of thedistances towed. The inside walls of the tyres should be inspected along with the outside walls for cracking anddamage. The trailer wheel nut torque must be checked on a regular basis, preferably before each towing ses-sion.

C190E01L C195F02TB-EAT TOWING ATTACHMENTS It is strongly recommended that only an Hyundai Approved towing attach-ment is used to ensure that the loads placed upon the body structure are correctly distributed. The use of a nonapproved attachment will result in the invalidation of the vehicle warranty. Hyundai towing attachments are de-signed and constructed to ensure maximum towing performance and ease of fitment. A range of accesso-ries including electrical kits are avail- able through the Hyundai authorised repairer network. It is of the utmost importance that those areas of the vehicle which aresubjected to greater stress during tow- ing are maintained in accordance with the recommendations given at the endof this book. In addition, the daily oper- ating checks relating to engine oil, transmission oil and tyres must beperformed at each refuelling to ensure maximum reliability and safety.

1. Before towing, check towbar hitch

3. Trailer towing requires more fuel than normal conditions.
4. To maintain engine braking effi- ciency and electrical charging per- formance, do not use fifth gear (manual transaxle) or overdrive (au-tomatic transaxle).
5. Always secure items in the trailer to
prevent load shift while driving.
6. Check the condition and air pres- sure of all tyres on the trailer andyour car. Low tyre pressure canseriously affect the handling. Also check the spare tyre.
7. The vehicle/trailer combination is more affected by crosswind andbuffeting.

When being passed by a large ve- hicle, keep a constant speed and steer straight ahead. If there is toomuch wind buffeting slow down to get out of the other vehicle's air turbulence.
8. When parking your car and trailer, especially on a hill, be sure to followall the normal precautions. Turn yourfront wheel into the curb, set the parking brake firmly, and put the transaxle in 1st or Reverse (manual)or Park (automatic). In addition, we advise the use of wheel chocks at each of the trailer's tyres.
9. If the trailer has electric brakes, start your vehicle and trailer mov-ing, and then apply the trailer brakecontroller by hand to be sure the brakes are working. This lets you check your electrical connection atthe same time.
10. During your trip, check occasion-
ally to be sure that the load issecure, and that the lights and any trailer brakes are still working.
11. Avoid jerky starts, sudden accel- eration or sudden stops.
12. Avoid sharp turns and rapid lane
changes. 13. Avoid holding the brake pedal down
too long or too frequently. This could cause the brakes to over-heat, resulting in reduced braking efficiency.
14. When going down a hill, shift into a lower gear and use the enginebraking effect.When climbing a long grade, down-
shift the transaxle to a lower gearand reduce speed to reduce chances of engine overloading and/or overheating.
15. If you have to stop while going
uphill, do not hold the vehicle inplace by pressing on the accelera- tor. This can cause the automatic transaxle to overheat. Use the park-ing brake or footbrake.
NOTE: When towing check transaxle fluid more frequently. CAUTION:
If overheating should occur when towing, (temperature gauge reads near red zone), taking the followingaction may reduce or eliminate the problem.
1. Turn off the air conditioner.
2. Reduce highway speed.
3. Select a lower gear when going uphill.
4. While in stop and go traffic, place
the gear selection in park or neu- tral and idle the engine at a higher speed.
