B130A01A-AAT REAR SEAT ENTRY (For 3-door model) The front passenger seatback should be tilted to enter the rear seat. By pulling up on the recliner controllever (1) at the outside of the front passenger seat, the seatback will tilt forward and the seat will automaticallyslide forward. Rear seat occupants can tilt the front passenger seatback by depressing thefoot lever (2) as shown in the illustra- tion. HTB258

B080F01S-AAT Seat Cushion Height Adjustment (Driver's Seat Only) (If Installed) To raise or lower the front part of the seat cushion, turn the front knob for- ward or rearward. To raise or lower therear part of the seat cushion, turn the rear knob forward or rearward.

You can adjust the height of the shoul- der belt anchor to one of the 4 posi- tions.If the height of the adjusting seat belt is too near your neck, you will not be getting the most effective protection.The shoulder portion should be ad- justed so that it lies across your chest and midway over your shoulder nearestthe door and not your neck. To adjust the height of the seat belt anchor, lower or raise the height ad-juster into an appropriate position. To raise the height adjuster, pull it up. To lower it, push it down while pressing theheight adjuster button. Release the button to lock the anchorinto position. Try sliding the release button to make sure that it has locked into the position.
WARNING:
o The height adjuster must be in the locked position when thevehicle is moving.
o The misadjustment of height of
the shoulder belt could reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt in a crash.

B160B01A-AAT Periodic Inspection It is recommended that all seat belts be inspected periodically for wear ordamage of any kind. Parts of the sys- tem that are damaged should be re- placed as soon as possible. B160C01A-AAT Keep Belts Clean and Dry Seat belts should be kept clean and dry. If belts become dirty, they can be cleaned by using a mild soap solutionand warm water. Bleach, dye, strong detergents or abrasives should not be used because they may damage andweaken the fabric. B160D01A-AAT When to Replace Seat Belts Entire in-use seat belt assembly or assemblies should be replaced if the vehicle has been involved in an acci-dent. B080A01FC-EAT SEAT ADJUSTMENT B080B02FC-EAT FRONT SEATS Front Seat Rake Adjustment
The front seat rake adjustment is per- formed by raising the lever at the frontof the seat base and sliding the seat to the desired position. At this position the lever should be released and the seatrocked to and fro to ensure that the mechanism has locked.
WARNING:
Front seat adjustments must not be undertaken whilst the vehicle is inmotion. Loss of control of the ve- hicle may result if seat adjustments are made whilst the vehicle is inmotion. WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trappedby a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switchin opposing directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened orclosed.
3) Always remove the ignition key
prior to exiting the car.
4) Do not leave children alone in the car.

!WARNING:
To ensure the seat is locked se- curely, attempt to move the seat for- ward or rearward without using thelever.
In order to prevent operation of the passenger front and rear windows, a window lock switch is provided on thearmrest of the driver's door. To disable the power windows, press the window lock switch.To revert to normal operation, press the window lock switch a second time. Auto-Down Window (Driver's Side) The Auto-Down window is moved to its fully open position by pushing the switch. To stop at the desired positionpush the switch again. HTB066-D

The front seat back recline angle may be adjusted by leaning forward slightly and raising the recline adjustment leverat the side of the seat. When the seatback is at the desired angle, the lever should be released. Ensure thatthe seatback is locked before driving the vehicle.
!WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury in the event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passenger seatbacks should always be in anupright position while the vehicle is in motion. The protection provided by the seat belts and airbags in afrontal collision may be reduced sig- nificantly when the seatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk thatthe driver and passenger will slide under the seat belt which may result in serious injury if a crash occurswhen the seatbacks are reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protec- tion to an occupant if the seatback isreclined.
B080D02JM-EAT Adjustable Head restraints Head restraints are designed to help reduce the risk of neck injuries.To raise the head restraint, pull it up. The buckle should be firmly pressed into the stalk until locked which will be indicated by an audible "click".The length of the seat belt webbing will be automatically adjusted by the seat belt mechanism to allow the wearermaximum freedom of movement whilst the belt is being worn. However, in the event of rapid deceleration or impact,the belt mechanism will automatically lock. The mechanism will also lock if the seatbelt webbing is withdrawn too quickly when the belt is being fastened or if attempts are made to withdraw thewebbing whilst the vehicle is not on level ground. Should the seat belt lock under these conditions, it will be pos-sible to release the mechanism by al- lowing a small amount of webbing to be retracted and the belt withdrawn again.

The seat belts are fastened by pulling the belt buckle towards the seat belt stalk and inserting the metal tongue of the buckle into the stalk. NOTE: When pulling the seat belt buckle towards the fastening position makesure the webbing is not twisted.
