2006 HONDA RIDGELINE mileage

This meter shows the number of
miles (U.S.) or kilometers (Canada)
driven since you last reset it.
There are two trip meters: TRIP A
and TRIP B. Switch between these
displays by pressing the SELECT
button repeatedly. Each trip meter
works independently, so you can
keep track of two dif f erent distances.To reset a trip meter, display it, and
then press and hold the RESET
button until the number resets to
‘‘0.0’’. Both trip meters will reset if
the vehicle’s battery goes dead or is
disconnected. And both continue to
track mileage, even when only one is
displayed.
This shows how much f uel you have.
It may show slightly more or less
than the actual amount. Driving
uphill or make turns can cause the
needle to f luctuate or the low f uel
indicator to come on early. The
needle returns to the bottom after
you turn of f the ignition.

The build-up of snow or mud on
your vehicle’s underside or on the
truck bed adds weight and rolling
resistance. Frequent cleaning
helps your f uel mileage and
reduces the chance of corrosion.
Drive moderately. Rapid
acceleration, abrupt cornering,
and hard braking use more f uel.
Always drive in the highest gear
possible. Try to maintain a constant speed.
Everytimeyouslowdownand
speed up, your vehicle uses extra
f uel. Use cruise control when
appropriate.
Combine several short trips into
one.
The air conditioning puts an extra
load on the engine which makes it
usemorefuel.Usethefresh-air
ventilation when possible.

the indicated maintenance

0 percent, you will see ‘‘SERVICE
PAST dUE’’ message every time you
turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
The message changes between
SERVICE and PAST dUE repeatedly. If you still do not perf orm the
indicated maintenance, you will see a
negative mileage, f or example ‘‘34
MI’’ with the message ‘‘PAST dUE.’’
This negative mileage means that
youshouldhaveperformedthe
indicated maintenance 34 miles ago.

sure to reset the display as described
