With the driver’s door open and the
key in the ignition, both door lock
switches are disabled. They are not
disabled if the driver’s door is closed.
Pushing the switch down on the
open passenger’s door will lock all
doors.
The childproof door locks are
designed to prevent children seated
in the rear f rom accidentally opening
the rear doors. Each rear door has a
lock lever near the edge. With the
lever in the LOCK position, the door
cannot be opened f rom the inside
regardless of the position of the lock
tab. To open the door, pull the lock
tab up, and use the outside door
handle. Pressthisbuttononceto
lock all doors. Some exterior and
interior lights will f lash. The doors
do not lock if they are not f ully
closed or the key is in the ignition
switch.

The ceiling light (if the ceiling light
switch is in the center position) will
come on when you press the
UNLOCK button. If you do not open
any door, the light stays on f or about
30 seconds, then f ades out. If you
relock the doors with the remote
transmitter before 30 seconds have
elapsed, the light will go of f
immediately. Press this button once
to unlock the driver’s door. Push it
twice to unlock the other doors.
When you push LOCK twice within 5
seconds, you will hear a beep to
verify that the security system is
active.

lights will f lash f or about 30 seconds.
To cancel panic mode, press any
other button on the remote
transmitter, or turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position.

You cannot lock the doors with the
remote transmitter if they are not
f ully closed or the key is in the

If you unlock the doors with the

the doors automatically relock.
Af ter the doors automatically relock,
the security system will be active.

After the seat reaches a comfortable
temperature, select LO by pushing
the back of the switch. This will keep
the seat warm.
In HI, the heater turns of f when the
seat gets warm, and turns back on
after the seat temperature drops.
In LO, the heater runs continuously.
It does not cycle with temperature
changes.Follow these precautions whenever
you use the seat heaters:
Use the HI setting only to heat the
seats quickly, because it draws
large amounts of current f rom the
battery.
If the engine is lef t idling f or an
extended period, do not use the
seat heaters even on the LO
setting. It can weaken the battery,
causing hard starting.
Both f ront seats are equipped with
seat heaters. Because of the sensors
f or the side airbag system, there is
no heater in the passenger’s seat-
back. The ignition switch must be
ON (II) to use the heaters.

The controls f or the adjustable
driver’s power seat are on the
outside edge of the seat bottom. You
can adjust the power seat with the
ignition switch in any position. Make

To change the lumbar support, move
the lever on the right side of the
seat-back forward or backward.
Keep moving the lever f orward or
backward until you f ind a suitable
position.
The passenger’s seat has two
switches. One moves the seat
f orward and backward, and the other
raises and lowers the seat.

The height of your driver’s seat is
power adjustable. Pull up on the
switch to raise the seat. Push it down
to lower the seat.
Make all adjustments bef ore you
start driving.They are most ef f ective when you
adjust them so the back of the
occupant’s head rests against the
center of the restraint.
The f ront and rear head restraints
adjust f or height. You need both
hands to adjust the restraint. Do not
attempt to adjust it while driving. To
raise it, pull upward. To lower the
restraint, push the release button
and push the restraint down.
Your vehicle is equipped with head
restraints in all seating positions to
help protect you and your
passengers f rom whiplash and other
injuries.

The inside mirror has day and night
positions. The night position reduces
glare f rom headlights behind you.
Flip the tab on the bottom edge of
the mirror to select the day or night
position.Push or pull the adjustment knob
right, left, up, or down to move the
mirror.
When you f inish, turn the
adjustment knob to the center
(of f ) position. This turns of f the
adjustment knob to keep your
settings.
The outside mirrors are manually
adjustable. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position.

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II)

window to stop. Close the window by
pulling the switch up and holding it. To open the driver’s
window, push the window switch
f irmly down, then release it. To stop
the window f rom going all the way
down, pull back on the window
switch brief ly.
To close the driver’s window f ully,
pull back the window switch f irmly,
then release it. To stop the window
f rom going all the way up, push
down on the window switch brief ly.
The outside mirrors are heated to
remove fog and frost. With the
ignition switch in the ON (II)
position, turn on the heaters by
pressing the button. The indicator in
the button comes on as a reminder.
Press the button again to turn the
heaters off.

away from the windows before
closing them.

µIf the driver’s
window senses any obstacle while it
is closing automatically, it will
reverse direction, and then stop. To
close the window, remove the
obstacle, then use the window switch
again.
Auto reverse stops sensing when the
window is almost closed. You should
always check that all passengers and
objects are away from the window
bef ore closing it. If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, or the
driver’s window f use is removed, the
AUTO f unction will be disabled. The
power window system needs to be
reset af ter reconnecting the battery
or installing the f use.
Start the engine. Push down and
hold the driver’s window switch
until the window is f ully open.
Pull and hold the driver’s window
switch to close the window
completely, then hold the switch
f or a second or two more.
If the power windows do not operate
properly af ter resetting, have your
vehicle checked by your dealer.
To open or close the driver’s window
partially, push down or pull back on
the window switch lightly and hold it.
The window will stop when you
release the switch.
The passenger windows cannot be
raised or lowered if the MAIN switch
is OFF. Keep the MAIN switch off
whenyouhavechildreninthe
vehicle so they do not injure
themselves by operating the
windows unintentionally.
