The panic alarm will stay on for 3 minutes unless you
turn it off by pressing the PANIC button a second time or
if the vehicle speed is 15 mph (24 km/h) or greater.
NOTE:
•
The interior lights will turn off when the ignition is
switched to the ACC or ON position after the panic
alarm is activated. However, the exterior lights and
horn will remain on.
•When you turn off the panic alarm by pressing the
PANIC button a second time, you may have to be
closer to the vehicle due to the radio frequency noises
of the system.
To Turn Off “Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock”
NOTE:
The Flash Lights On Lock/Unlock feature can
be turned on or off. Refer toPersonal Settingsin the
EVIC section of this manual.

Press and INFO button while playing MP3 or WMA disc.
The radio scrolls through the following TAG information:
Song Title, Artist, File Name, and Folder Name (if avail-
able).
Press the INFO button once more to return toelapsed
timepriority mode.
Press and hold the INFO button while in the message
display priority mode or elapsed time display priority
mode will display the song title for each file.
RW/FF (CD Mode for MP3 and WMA Play)
Press the FF side of the button to move forward through
the file or MP3 and WMA selection.
TUNE Control (CD Mode for MP3 Play)
Pressing the TUNE Control allows the adjustment of
Tone, Balance, and Fade.
AM/FM Button (CD Mode for MP3 Play)
Switches back to Radio mode.

NAVIGATION SYSTEM (SALES CODE REC) — IF

NOTE:

right side of your radio faceplate.Navigation Radio with CD Player and MP3 Capability
(REC) - combines a Global-Positioning System-based
navigation system with a color screen to provide maps,
turn identification, selection menus and instructions for
selecting a variety of destinations and routes. The unit
also provides an AM/FM stereo radio and six-disc CD
changer with MP3 capability.
Mapping information for navigation is supplied on a
DVD that is loaded into the unit. One map DVD covers
all of North America. Refer to your “Navigation User’s
Manual” for detailed operating instructions.
Clock Setting Procedure

your Navigation User’s Manual for details about setting
the clock.

RADIO OPERATION AND CELLULAR PHONES
Under certain conditions, the cellular phone being On in
your vehicle can cause erratic or noisy performance from
your radio. This condition may be lessened or eliminated
by relocating the cellular phone antenna. This condition
is not harmful to the radio. If your radio performance
does not satisfactorily “clear” by the repositioning of the
antenna, it is recommended that the radio volume be
turned down or off during cellular phone operation.
CLIMATE CONTROLS
Climate Controls — Manual
Air Conditioning
The controls for the heating/air conditioning and venti-
lation system in this vehicle consist of a series of rotary
knobs. These comfort controls can be set to obtain desired
interior conditions.
The instrument panel features four dual-vane airflow
registers. Two registers are located on the outer ends of
the instrument panel and two are located in the center of
the instrument panel. These registers can be closed to
partially block airflow.Press this button to turn on and off the air condi-
tioning. Cool dehumidified air comes through the
outlets selected by the mode selector. Press the
button a second time to turn off the air conditioning. The
button includes an LED that illuminates when compres-
sor operation is selected.
Electric Rear Window Defroster
Press this button to turn on the rear window
defroster and the heated side mirrors (if
equipped). An LED in the button will illuminate to
