Trunk
{CAUTION:
It can be dangerous to drive with the trunk lid
open because carbon monoxide (CO) gas can
come into your vehicle. You cannot see or
smell CO. It can cause unconsciousness and
even death. If you must drive with the trunk lid
open or if electrical wiring or other cable
connections must pass through the seal
between the body and the trunk lid:
Make sure all other windows are shut.
Turn the fan on your heating or cooling
system to its highest speed and select the
control setting that will force outside air
into your vehicle. See Climate Control
System.
If you have air outlets on or under the
instrument panel, open them all the way.

Remote Trunk Release
G
(Remote Trunk Release):The remote trunk
release button is located to the left of the steering wheel
next to the instrument panel brightness control. Press
the button to open the trunk. To use this feature,
your vehicle must be in PARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N) and
the valet lockout switch must be off.
You can also press the button with the trunk symbol on
the remote keyless entry transmitter to open the
trunk. To disable this feature, seeValet Lockout Switch
on page 2-19.

To tilt the wheel, hold the
wheel and pull the lever.
Then move the wheel
to a comfortable position
and release the lever
to lock the wheel in place.
Power Tilt Wheel and Telescopic
Steering Column
If your vehicle has this
feature, the power tilt
wheel control is located on
the outboard side of the
steering column.To operate the power tilt feature, push the control up
and the steering wheel will tilt up. Push the control down
and the steering wheel will go down.
Push the control forward and the steering wheel moves
toward the front of the vehicle. Push the control
rearward and the steering wheel moves toward the rear
of the vehicle. To set the memory position, seeDIC

Mirrors and Steering Wheel on page 2-52.
Heated Steering Wheel
Your vehicle may have a heated steering wheel.
The button for this feature
is located on the steering
wheel.
Press the button to turn the heated steering wheel on or
off. A light on the button will display while the feature
is on.
The steering wheel will take about three minutes to start
heating.

Cigarette Lighter
Notice:Holding a cigarette lighter in while it is
heating will not allow the lighter to back away from
the heating element when it is hot. Damage from
overheating may occur to the lighter or heating
element, or a fuse could be blown. Do not hold a
cigarette lighter in while it is heating.
The cigarette lighter is located near the front ashtray.
Press the lighter all the way in and release it. It will pop
back out by itself once the element has heated for use.
Cigarette lighters can be used to provide electrical
power to accessories. SeeAccessory Power Outlet(s)
on page 3-42for more information.
Analog Clock
The clock is located on the instrument panel above the
radio. To adjust the clock, do the following:
1. Locate the adjustment button directly below the
clock face.
2. Push and hold the adjustment button to advance
the clock hands. Holding the button down will
cause the clock to advance faster. Release the
buttonbeforeyou get to the desired time.
3. Push and release the button to increase the time by
one minute increments until the desired time is
reached.
Climate Controls
Dual Climate Control System
With this system you can control the heating, cooling
and ventilation for your vehicle. To avoid window fogging
on rainy and humid days at temperatures above
freezing, run the air conditioning compressor. Also, it is
best to avoid the use of recirculation mode except
when maximum air-conditioning performance is needed
for a short amount of time to avoid exterior odors
and fogging.
