1. Déposer:
Couvercle de l’embrayage du
démarreur complet 1
N.B.:
Insérer un fin tournevis ou un outil ana-
logue sous la convexité a et déposer le
couvercle de l’embrayage du démarreur
complet en faisant légèrement levier
pour ne pas endommager le couvercle.
2. Déposer:
Embrayage du démarreur 1
N.B.:
A l’aide d’un fin tournevis ou d’un outil
analogue, déposer la plaque a en faisant
progressivement levier pour la soulever.

3. Check:
Starter clutch operation
Install the starter clutch drive
gear
1 onto the starter clutch
2 and hold the starter clutch.
When turning the starter clutch
drive gear counterclockwise
É,
the starter clutch and the starter
clutch drive gear should
engage. If the starter clutch
drive gear and starter clutch do
not engage, the starter clutch is
faulty and must be replaced.
When turning the starter clutch
drive gear clockwise
È, it
should turn freely.
If the starter clutch drive gear
does not turn freely, the starter
clutch is faulty and must be
replaced.

Fonctionnement de l’embrayage
du démarreur
Installer le pignon menant de
l’embrayage du démarreur 1 sur
l’embrayage du démarreur 2 et
maintenir l’embrayage du démar-
reur.
Tourner le pignon menant de
l’embrayage du démarreur dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d’une
montre É, l’embrayage du démar-
reur et son pignon menant doivent
s’engrener. Si ce n’est pas le cas,
l’embrayage du démarreur est
défectueux et doit être remplacé.
Tourner le pignon menant de
l’embrayage du démarreur dans le
sens des aiguilles d’une montre È,
il doit tourner librement.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, l’embrayage
du démarreur est défectueux et doit
être remplacé.

holder while taking care not to
allow these leads to get caught
with each other. Also take care to
pass the leads so that they do not
become loose at the bend of the

NOTE:Apply the sealant to the grommet of
the AC magneto lead.

fils ne puissent s’emmêler. Veiller éga-
lement à acheminer les fils de manière

niveau du coude du support a afin
qu’ils ne puissent pas entrer en con-
tact avec le pignon menant de
l’embrayage du démarreur.
N.B.:
Appliquer le produit d’étanchéité sur
l’oeillet caoutchouc du fil de l’alterna-
teur.

When installing the woodruff key,
make sure that its flat surface a is
in parallel with the crankshaft cen-
ter line b.
When installing the rotor, align the
keyway c of the rotor with the
woodruff key.

6. Monter:
Embrayage du démarreur 1
Sur le rotor 2.
N.B.:
Monter l’embrayage du démarreur en
orientant sa plaque vers le haut.
Pour monter l’embrayage du démar-
reur, enfoncer les ergots a un par un
sur la circonférence de l’embrayage.
Enfoncer l’embrayage du démarreur
jusqu’à ce qu’il touche le rotor.
7. Monter:
Couvercle de l’embrayage du
démarreur complet 1
Sur le rotor 2.
N.B.:
Monter l’embrayage du démarreur com-
plet en engageant ses cliquets a dans la
gorge b du rotor.
8. Monter:
Clavette demi-lune 1
Rotor 2
N.B.:
Nettoyer les parties coniques du vile-
brequin et du rotor.
En montant la clavette demi-lune,
veiller à ce que sa surface plane a
soit parallèle à la ligne de centrage du
vilebrequin b.
En montant le rotor, aligner la rainure
c du rotor avec la clavette demi-lune.
