Installation of a mobile twoway radio system
As the installation of a mobile two −way radio system in
your vehicle could affect electronic systems such as
multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel
injection system, electronic throttle control system, cruise
control system, dynamic laser cruise control system, anti −
lock brake system, traction control system, vehicle stability
control system, SRS airbag system and seat belt preten-
sioner system, be sure to check with your Toyota dealer
for precautionary measures or special instructions regard-
ing installation.
Tires and loading on your To y o t a
Underinflated or overinflated tire pressure and the
excess load may result in the deterioration of
steering ability and braking ability, leading to an
accident. Check the tire inflation pressure periodi-
cally and be sure to keep the load limits given in
this Owner ’s Manual. For details about tire inflation
pressure and load limits, see pages 398 and 471.

The system must be reset after the en-
gine oil replacement. Reset the system by
the following procedure:1. Turn the ignition key to the “ACC” or “LOCK” position with the odometer
reading shown. (For details, see
“Odometer and two trip meters” on
page 174 in this Section.)
2. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” posi- tion while holding down the trip meter
reset button.
Hold down the button for at least 5 sec-
onds. The odometer indicates “000000”
and the light goes off.
If the system fails to reset, the light will
continue flashing. (o) Dynamic Laser Cruise Control Mas-
ter Warning Light
This light warns that there is a problem
somewhere in the dynamic laser cruise
control system.
The light will come on when the ignition
key is turned to “ON” and go off after a
few seconds.
When the light comes on, the alarm
sounds and the warning code will appear
on the display. At this time, dynamic laser
cruise control is cancelled. For details,
see “Dynamic laser cruise control” on
page 203 in Section 1 −7.
(p) Key Reminder Buzzer
This buzzer acts as a reminder to remove
the key when you open the driver’s door
with the ignition key in the “ACC” or
“LOCK” position. CHECKING SERVICE REMINDER
INDICATORS (except the low fuel level
warning light
and low windshield
washer fluid level warning light)
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Open one of the doors. The open door warning light should
come on.
3. Close the door. The open door warning light should go
off.
4. Turn the ignition key to “ON”, but do not start the engine.
All the service reminder indicators ex-
cept the open door warning light should
come on. The “ABS” and “VSC” warn-
ing lights, low tire pressure warning
light, dynamic laser cruise master
warning light and engine oil replace-
ment reminder light go off after a few
seconds. The SRS warning light goes
off after about 6 seconds. (“TRAC
OFF”, “READY” (dynamic laser cruise
ready mode) indicator lights and slip
indicator light also comes on and go
off after a few seconds.)
If any service reminder indicator or warn-
ing buzzer does not function as described
above, have it checked by your Toyota
dealer as soon as possible.
