AM or FM buttons
To select the radio mode, press the AM or FM buttons.
Via the buttons AM
8⇒page 12 or FM 7the radio mode in the
corresponding band isselected.
Pressing the firstmulti-function key, selects a memorylevel(FM1,
FM2, AM1 or AM2). Sixstationsmay be stored in each one of them.
The memorylevel(A
AMM11, AAMM22, FFMM11or FFMM22) isindicated in the

The indicated stationsare selected via the corresponding
pre-tuning keys

Search functions
You may perform an automaticor manualsearch of stations.

To automaticallysearch the prior or next station within the same
band, press or
⇒page 12, 6.
The search stops onlyin the stationswith a good quality of
reception. These are shown in the display of the radio

Once the desired band isselected press the multi-function button
MAN; then, via the search keys select the frequencydesired.
If the keys are brieflypressed the changing is step by step (of
9 kHzin AM and of 100 kHzin FM) and if they are maintained
pressed, the freque
ncies change rapidly. In thiswayitisalso
possible to tune in stationswith weak signals, notdetectable via
the automaticsearch.

SCCAANN FFuunnccttiioonn
With the SCAN function activated, allthe stationswith a good
quality ofreception are reproduced during 10 seconds. To select a
station, deactivate the function SCAN whilst the same isbeing
played.
The SCAN function is activated or de-activate
d by brieflypressing
the multi-function key SCAN

If the tuned station isalready stored, the corresponding pre-tuning
keynumber appearsin the display.

FFuunnccttiioonn FFOOLLDDEERR RRAANNDDOOMM ((FFRRNNDD))
The FOLDER RANDOM function (function onlyavailable if the CD is
recognised as MP3 format) isused to play tracks from allthe MP3
CD foldersin a random manner.
The function is activated by pressing the "frnd" button briefly. T
he
displayindicates "folder random".
When thisfunction is activated, the background of the selected
function willgo black.
To deactivate the function press one of the multi-function buttons.

Fuunnccttiioonn FFOOLLDDEERR SSCCAANN ((FFSSCCAANN))
The FOLDER SCAN function (function onlyavailable if the CD is
recognised as MP3 format) plays the first ten seconds of the first
trackin each of the MP3 CD folders.
The function is activated by pressing the "fscan" button briefly. The
displayindicates "folder scan".

Ifyou switch from radio mode to CD mode whilst a station with
trafficreportsistuned, the TP indicator isdisplayed.S

Ifyou leave the reception area of a station with trafficbulletins
during a CD playback, a station with trafficbulletinsis
automaticallysearched even ifin radio mode anystation of type
was tuned.

If the TP function ison and a station with trafficbulletinstuned, the
bulletinsemitted by the said station are reproduced, interrupting
the CD playback.

To switch on the function brieflypress the TP key.
To switch off the function brieflypress again the TP key.
During the playback of a bulletin the bulletin emission isonly
switched off.
If the function TP isswitched off, the TP indication of the display
disappears.
