dirty gloves. If dirt is attached on glass surface of
the bulb, immediately use alcohol or thinner to

1. Connect the battery and the test bulb (40 W) as
shown in the illumination.
2. Operate the rheostat, and if brightness changes
smoothly without switching off, rheostat function is
normal.
