Split Folding Rear Seat (If Equipped)
The rear aseatbacks fold froward to provide additional
cargo space and to provide an access to the trunk area.
To fold the rear seatback(s) down, pull the unlock
knob located in the top of the seatbacks, then fold
the seatback forward and down.
To raise the seatback, lift and push it firmly until it
clicks into place.
When you return the seatback to its original posi-
tion, reposition the rear safety belts so that they can
be used by rear seat passengers.

Passengers should not ride in the cargo area
or sit or recline on folded seatbacks while
vehicle is in motion.
When resetting the seatback to the upright
position, make sure it is securely latched by
pushing it forward and rearward.
To avoid the possibility of burns, do not
remove the carpet in the cargo area.
Emission controls beneath this floor gener-
ate hight exhaust temperatures.

The tripmeter indicates the distance on individual trips
selected by the driver. Tripmeter A and B can be reset to
zero by pressing the mode selection button for one
second or more, then releasing.
Tachometer (If Equipped)The tachometer indicates the approximate number of
engine revolutions per minute (rpm).
Use the tachometer to select the correct shift points
and prevent lugging the engine and/or over-revving it.
The tachometer pointer may move slightly when the
ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position with the
engine OFF. This movement is normal and will not
affect the accuracy of the tachometer once the engine
is running.

HOUR “H’’:
Pressing the “H’’ button with your finger, a pencil
or similar object will advance the time displayed
by one hour.
MINUTE “M’’:
Pressing the “M’’ button with your finger, a pencil
or similar object will advance the time displayed
by one minute.
RESET “:R’’:
To clear away minutes, press the “:R’’ button with
your finger, a pencil or similar object. When you
release the button, the clock will be set precisely
on the hour.
For example, if the “:R’’ button is pressed while
the time is between 9:01 and 9:29, the display will
be reset to 9:00. If pressed while it is between
9:30 and 9:59, the display will be reset to 10:00.

6-13 Memory Fuse (If Equipped)
Your vehicle is equipped with a “Memory Fuse” to
prevent battery discharge if the vehicle is parked for
prolonged periods without being operated. Use the
following procedures before parking the vehicle for a
prolonged period.
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Turn off the headlights and tail lights.
3. Open the main fuse box cover in the engine compartment
and pull up the “ROOM FUSE 15A” using the fuse
puller; push the fuse to the side. This will change the
MEMORY FUSE mode to prevent battery discharge.

RIOMEMORY
CAUTION
•If the memory fuse is pulled up from the fuse
box housing, the radio and dome light will not
operate. After reinstalling the “Memory Fuse”,
the radio “anti-theft”code (Optional) must be
entered again and the preset radio stations
must be reselected.
Even though the memory fuse is pulled up, the
battery can still be discharged by operation of
the headlights or other electrical devices.
