Day/Night Rearview MirrorAdjust the rearview mirror to center on the view
through the rear window. Make this adjustment before
you start driving and while the day/night lever is in the
day position.
Pull the day/night lever toward you to reduce glare
from the headlights of vehicles behind you during
night driving.
Remember that you lose some rearview clarity in the

Knowing Your Vehicle3-70Power Outlet (If Equipped)Open the power outlet cover on the rear trim and, with
the engine running, insert the mating connector from the
electrical appliance. Make sure the electrical appliance
draws less than 10 amperes at 12 volts.

✻ ✻
NOTICE
Use when the engine is running, and remove a
plug from the power outlet after using the elec-
tric appliance. Using when the engine stops or
remaining the electric appliance with plugged
in for many hours may cause the battery to be
discharged.
If you have to use electrical accessories that
draw higher power(vacuum cleaners, lights,
coolers, etc.), use the power outlet intermittent-
ly and with caution.
If electrical accessories are plugged into the
power outlet for long periods with engine off,
the vehicle battery will discahrge and battery
life will be shortened.
Close the power outlet cover when not in use.
Some electronic devices can cause electronic
interference when plugged into a vehicle’s
power outlet. These devices may cause exces-
sive audio static and malfunctions in other
electronic systems or devices used in your
vehicle.

Ignition SwitchIgnition Switch and Anti-Theft Steering
Column LockIgnition Switch Position
LOCK
The steering wheel is locked to protect against theft.
The ignition key can be removed only in the LOCK
position. For vehicles equipped with an automatic
transaxle, it also locks the gear shift lever in the
P (Park) position.
ACC (Accessory)
Turning the ignition switch to this position unlocks the
steering wheel and will allow some of your vehicle’s
electrical accessories such as the radio to operate when
the engine is OFF.
ON
Turning the ignition switch to this position allows you
to test your vehicle’s warning lights (except the brake
system warning light) to make sure they work before
you start the engine. The ignition key returns to the
ON position once the engine is started and remains in
this position while the engine is running.
Do not leave the ignition switch in the ON position for
extended periods with the engine OFF because the bat-
tery will discharge.
