3 WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY

D120A01A-GAT If you lose your keys, many Hyundai dealers can make you a new key if you have your key number. If you lock the keys inside your car and you cannotobtain a new key, many Hyundai deal- ers can use special tools to open the door for you. Information about the keyof immobilizer system (If Installed) will be found on page 1-5.

2. Operate the hand pump slowly 6 or
7 times in order to force the water out through the drain plug.
3. Tighten the drain plug when water no longer comes out.
4. Loosen the air bleed bolt and bleed the air.(Refer to "Bleeding the fuel sys-tem".)
5. Check to be sure that the warning lamp illuminates when the ignitionkey is turned to "ON", and that itgoes off when the engine is started.If in doubt, consult your nearestauthorized HYUNDAI dealer. G350A02HP

NOTE: It is recommended that water ac-
cumulated in the fuel filter should be removed by an authorized Hyundai dealer. G350B01HP-GAT Bleeding the Fuel System (For Diesel Gngine (2.9 CRDi)) The fuel system should be bled to remove air as described in the illus- tration if the fuel supply is exhausted during travel, when the fuel filter isreplaced, or if the vehicle is not used for a long time.
1. Pump the hand prime pump with
your hand for one minute(about 20~30 times).
2. Turn the ignition key to the "START"
position and release it 2~3 times shortly until the engine starts. HHP5048
WARNING:
o Do not smoke or have any other open flame near the vehicle whilebleeding the fuel system.
o Be sure to carefully wipe away any water drained out in this manner, because the fuel mixedin the water might be ignited and result in a fire.

Removal of Water from the Fuel Filter (For Diesel Engine (2.9 CRDi))
If the fuel filter warning lamp illumi-
nates during driving, it indicates that water has accumulated in the fuelfilter. If this occurs, remove the water as described below.
1. Loosen the drain plug at the bot-
tom of the fuel filter.
2. Tighten the drain plug when water
no longer comes out. 3. Check to be sure that the warning
lamp illuminates when the ignition key is turned to "ON", and that it goes off when the engine is started. If in doubt, consult your nearest authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
NOTE: It is recommended that water ac-

B880B01HP-EAT Keys For greater convenience, your Hyundai has two types of keys as shown in the illustration. 1) ID key
This key must be used first in order to register the unique code in the ICM - this will have been carried out prior to you receiving your new vehicle.This ID code will then have been recorded onto the master keys. Both sides of the key have a Hyundailogo.
2) Master key
This key is for general use. It willopen all locks on your vehicle. One side of the key has the Hyundai logo and the other side has the "M"symbol. If your vehicle is equipped with Theft- alarm system, the master keys withthe function of transmitter will be provided. (Type B)
CAUTION:
Don't lose your ID key. Always keepyour ID key in a place where you remember. If you don't have ID key,consult your authorized Hyundai dealer.IMMOBILISER SYSTEM

B885C01A-EAT Key Numbers The vehicle key number is recorded upon a metal tag attached to the keys when the vehicle is first delivered toyou.The key number should be recordedand kept in a safe place in case theneed to order further keys arises. New keys are available from any Hyundai dealer by quoting the relevant keynumber. In the interest of security, the metal tag attached to the keys which bears thekey number should be removed from the key ring after you receive your new vehicle. In addition, key numbers can-not be provided by Hyundai for secu- rity reasons. If you need additional keys or if youshould lose your keys, your authorised Hyundai dealer can make new keys if you can supply the key number and IDkey.

B885B01HP-EAT Keys All of the locks fitted to the vehicle are operated by the same key. However,since it is possible to lock the doors without the use of the key, care shouldbe exercised to ensure that the key does not become locked inside thevehicle by mistake. If your vehicle is equipped with Theft-alarm system, the master keys with the function of trans-mitter will be provided (Type B). NOTE: If you make your own duplicate key, you will not be able to cancel thesystem or start the engine.
CAUTION:
o The password should be re- corded and kept in a safe place incase the need to order further keys arises.
o If you forget the password, con- sult your authorised Hyundaidealer.
