B260D01A-AAT Turn Signal Indicator Lights
The blinking green arrows on the in- strument panel show the direction indi-cated by the turn signals. If the arrow comes on but does not blink, blinks more rapidly than normal, or does notilluminate at all, a malfunction in the turn signal system is indicated. Your dealer should be consulted for repairs.
B260U01TB-GAT Immobilizer Indicator Light (If installed)
This indicator light comes on for some seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position. At this time, you can start the engine. The light goes outafter the engine is running. In case this light goes out before you start the engine, you must turn to the "LOCK"position and restart the engine. In case this light blinks for five seconds when the ignition key is turned to "ON" posi-tion, this indicates that the immobilizer system is out of order.
B260B01S-GAT SRS (Airbag) Service Reminder Indicator (SRI)(If Installed)
The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) comes on and flashes for about 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after theengine is started, after which it will go out. This light also comes on when the SRS is not working properly. If the SRI does not come on, or continuously remainson after flashing for about 6 seconds when you turned the ignition key to the "ON" position or started the engine, orif it comes on while driving, have the SRS inspected by an authorized Hyundai Dealer. Traction Control Indica-
tor Light (If installed)
The traction control indicator changesoperation according to the ignitionswitch position and whether or not the system is in operation. It will also illuminate when the ignitionkey is turned to the "ON" position, and then go off in a few seconds. If the TCS indicator stays on, take your car toyour authorized Hyundai dealer and have the system checked. See section 2 for more information about the TCSsystem.
At this time, refer to the explanation of the Limp home procedure(See page1-6) or consult to the Hyundai dealer.

When the overdrive switch is turned on, the overdrive off indicator will go out. This amber indicator will be illumi- nated when the overdrive switch isturned off. (Auto T/A only)

To operate the headlights, turn the barrel on the end of the multi-function switch. The first position turns on the parking lights, sidelights, tail lights andinstrument panel lights. The second position turns on the headlights. NOTE: The ignition must be in the "ON" position to turn on the headlights.
B340B01A-AAT Lane Change Signal To indicate a lane change, move the lever up or down to a point where it begins flashing.The lever will automatically return to the center position when released.

MULTI-FUNCTION LIGHT SWITCH
B340A01A-AAT COMBINATION TURN SIGNAL, HEADLIGHT AND HIGH-BEAMSWITCHTurn Signal Operation Pulling down on the lever causes the turn signals on the left side of the car to blink. Pushing upwards on the levercauses the turn signals on the right side of the car to blink. As the turn is completed, the lever will automaticallyreturn to the center position and turn off the turn signals at the same time. If either turn signal indicator light blinksmore rapidly than usual, goes on but does not blink, or does not go on at all, there is a malfunction in the system.Check for a burned-out fuse or bulb or see your Hyundai dealer.

The radio unit may be operated when the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON"position. Rotate the knob clockwise to switch the radio unit on and to increase the volume.The LCD shows the radio frequency in the radio mode. Turn the knob counter- clockwise to reduce the volume and toswitch the radio unit off. BAL (Balance Control) Knob Pull and turn the control knob clockwise to emphasize right speaker sound (left speaker sound will be attenuated). When the control knob is turned counterclock-wise, left speaker sound will be empha- sized (right speaker soundwill be at- tenuated).After adjusting the balance, push the knob again to use the other function. 4. SCAN Knob When the scan knob is pressed, the frequency will increase and the receiv-able stations will be tuned in one after another, receiving each station for 5 seconds. To stop scanning, press thescan knob again.

o The playback head, capstan and pinch rollers will develop a coating of tape residue that can result in dete- rioration of sound quality, such as awavering sound. They should be cleaned monthly using a commer- cially available head cleaning tape orspecial solution available from audio specialty shops. Follow the supplier's directions carefully and never oil anypart of the tape player unit.
o Always be sure that the tape is tightly
wound on its reel before inserting inthe player. Rotate a pencil in the drive sprockets to wind up any slack. B860A03L
NOTE: Look at a tape before you insert it. If the tape is loose, tighten it by turning one of the hubs with a pencil or your finger. If the label is peeling off, donot put it in the drive mechanism. Do not leave tapes sitting where they are exposed to hot, warm or, highhumidity, such as on top of the dash- board or in the player. If a tape is exposed to excessivelyhot or cold, let it reach a moderate temperature before putting it in the player. 1. Before towing, check hitch and
safety chain connections as well as proper operation of the trailer run- ning lights, brake lights, and turn signals.
2. Always drive your vehicle at a mod- erate speed (Less than 100 km/h).
3. Trailer towing requires more fuel than normal conditions.
4. To maintain engine braking effi-
ciency and electrical charging per-formance, do not use fifth gear (manual transaxle) or overdrive (au- tomatic transaxle).
5. Always secure items in the trailer to prevent load shift while driving.
6. Check the condition and air pres- sure of all tires on the trailer and your car. Low tire pressure can seriously affect the handling. Alsocheck the spare tire.
7. The vehicle/trailer combination is
more affected by crosswind andbuffeting. When being passed by a large vehicle, keep a constant speed and steer straight ahead. If there istoo much wind buffeting, slow down to get out of the other vehicle's air turbulence.
