This label also tells you the maximum
weights that can be supported by the
front and rear axles, called Gross Axle
Weight Rating (GAWR). To find out the
actual loads on your front and rear
axles, you need to go to a weigh station
and weigh your vehicle. Your dealer can
help you with this. Be sure to spread out
your load equally on the left and right
sides of the centerline.NOTE:
o Overloading your vehicle may
cause damage. Repairs would not
be covered by your warranty. Do
not overload your vehicle.
o Using heavier suspension com-
ponents to get added durability
might not change your weight rat-
ings. Ask your dealer to help you
load your vehicle the right way.
The label will help you decide how much
cargo and installed equipment your
vehicle can carry.
If you carry items inside your vehicle –
like suitcases, tools, packages, or any-
thing else – they move as fast as the
vehicle goes. If you have to stop or turn
quickly, or if there is a crash, the items
will keep going and can cause an injury
if they strike the driver or a passenger. WARNING:
o Never exceed the GVWR for your
vehicle or the GAWR for either the
front or rear axle.
o Do not load your vehicle any
heavier than the GVWR or either
the maximum front or rear GAWR.
If you do, parts on your vehicle
can break, and it can change the
way your vehicle handles. This
could cause you to lose control
and crash. Also, overloading can
shorten the life of your vehicle.
C190G01JM-AATCompliance LabelThe compliance label is located on the
driver's side of the center pillar outer
panel.
The label shows the size of your original
tires and the inflation pressures needed
to obtain the gross weight capacity of
your vehicle. This is called the GVWR
(Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). The
GVWR includes the weight of the ve-
hicle, all occupants, fuel and cargo.

CAUTION:
o When towing the vehicle, take care not to
cause damage to the bumper or under-
body of the vehicle.
o Do not tow with sling type truck as this
may cause damage to the bumper or
underbody of the vehicle.
D080B01O-GATTowing the VehicleYour vehicle can be towed by wheel lift type
truck (1), (2) or flatbed equipment (3).

1) If the vehicle is being towed with the rear
wheels on the ground, be sure the parking
brake is released.NOTE:Before towing, check the level of the auto-
matic transaxle fluid. If it is below the "HOT"
range on the dipstick, add fluid. If you
cannot add fluid, a towing dolly must be
used.
2) If any of the loaded wheels or suspension
components are damaged or the vehicle is
being towed with the front wheels on the
ground, use a towing dolly under the front
wheels.
o Manual Transaxle:
If you do not use a towing dolly, place the
ignition key in the "ACC" position and put the
transaxle in "N (Neutral)".
CAUTION:
Do not tow with the key removed or in the
"LOCK" position when towing from the
rear without a towing dolly.

F070L01A-AATo Suspension Mounting BoltsCheck the suspension connections for loose-
ness or damage. Retighten to the specified
torque.F070M01A-AATo Steering Gear Box, Linkage & Boots/
Lower arm Ball JointWith the vehicle stopped and engine off, check
for excessive free-play in the steering wheel.
Check the linkage for bends or damage. Check
the dust boots and ball joints for deterioration,
cracks, or damage. Replace any damaged
parts.F070N01A-AATo Power Steering Pump, Belt and HosesCheck the power steering pump and hoses for
leakage and damage. Replace any damaged or
leaking parts immediately. Inspect the power
steering belt for evidence of cuts, cracks, ex-
cessive wear, oiliness and proper tension.
Replace or adjust it if necessary.
F070P01A-AATo Driveshafts and BootsCheck the drive shafts, boots and clamps for
cracks, deterioration, or damage. Replace any
damaged parts and, if necessary, repack the
grease.F070Q01A-AATo Air Conditioning RefrigerantCheck the air conditioning lines and connec-
tions for leakage and damage. Check air con-
ditioning performance according to the relevant
shop manual if necessary.F070R01E-AATo Cylinder Head Cover Gasket

NOTE:Check the contact surface between the
cylinder head cover and head for oil leaks
and replace the gasket with a new one, if
necessary.
Remove the upper timing belt cover and
check the engine parts including the cam
cap for oil leaks.
F070S01E-AATo Oil Pan Liquid Gasket
(2.0L SULEV Only)
NOTE:Check the oil mounted surface for oil leaks.
If the oil pan has been removed, apply a new
gasket before reinstalling the oil pan.
