Be caref ul when you are using the
beverage holders. A spilled liquid
that is very hot can scald you or your
passengers. Spilled liquids can
damage the upholstery, carpeting,
and electrical components in the
interior.
On the U.S., EX model, open the rear
beverage holder by pushing on the
back and pulling the holder all the
way out.
This socket is intended to supply
power f or 12 volt DC accessories
that are rated 120 watts or less (10
amps).To open the console compartment,
pull the lef t lever and lif t the lid.
To close, lower the lid and push it
down until it latches.
None of the sockets will power an
automotive type cigarette lighter
element. When more than one
socket is being used, the combined
power rating of the accessories
should be 120 watts or less
(10 amps).
OnLXandEXmodelsintheU.S.
and LX and Si models in Canada,
open the f ront beverage holder by
pushing on the top. Open the glove box by squeezing the
handle. Close it with a f irm push.
On EX model in the U.S., and LX and Si
models in Canada

SEAT-BACK POCKET: On LX, U.S. EX, and Canadian Si models

If you carry large items that
prevent you f rom closing the trunk
lid, exhaust gas can enter the
passenger area. To avoid the
possibility of, f ollow the instructions
on page .
If youfolddownthebackseat,tie
down items that could be thrown
about the vehicle during a crash or
sudden stop. Distribute cargo evenly on the
f loor of the trunk, placing the
heaviest items on the bottom and
as far forward as possible.
Store or secure all items that could
be thrown around and hurt
someone during a crash.
Do not put any items on top of the
trunk panel. They can block your
view and be thrown around the
vehicle during a crash.
Be sure items placed on the f loor
behind the f ront seats cannot roll
under the seats and interf ere with
the driver’s ability to operate the
pedals or the seat.
Keep the glove box closed while
driving. If it is open, a passenger
could injure their knees during a
crash or sudden stop. 47
