5/100 POWERTRAIN WARRANTY
The following powertrain components are covered for 5 years or
100,000 kilometres , whichever occurs first, measured from the
vehicle’s original warranty start date.
Vehicles placed in Police, Taxi, Limousine, Postal or Ambulance
service and all SRT vehicles are excluded from the 5-year or
100,000-kilometre Powertrain Warranty and are covered only under
the 3-year or 60,000-kilometre Basic Warranty.
• Engine – Cylinder block and all internal parts; cylinder head
assemblies; timing case, timing chain, timing belt, gears and
sprockets; vibration damper; oil pump; water pump and housing;
intake and exhaust manifolds; flywheel with starter ring gear; core
plugs; valve covers; oil pan; turbocharger housing and internal
parts; turbocharger wastegate actuator; supercharger; serpentine
belt tensioner; seals and gaskets for listed components only. •
Transmission – Transmission case and all internal parts; torque
converter; drive/flex plate; transmission range switch;
transmission control module; bell housing; oil pan; seals and
gaskets for listed components only.
Note: Manual transmission clutch parts are not covered at any time .
• Front-Wheel Drive – Transaxle case and all internal parts; axle
shaft assemblies; constant velocity joints and boots; differential
cover; oil pan; transaxle speed sensors; transaxle solenoid
assembly; PRNDL position switch; transaxle electronic controller;
torque converter; seals and gaskets for listed components only.
Note: Manual transmission clutch parts are not covered at any time.

Change engine oil and engine oil filter (or every 3 months).
Inspect and lubricate, as required, all steering and suspension componen\
ts.
Replace the engine air cleaner filter, if required (all models).
Replace the spark plugs (PT Cruiser, SRT-4, Sebring and SX 2.0 only).
Check and replace, if necessary, the PCV valve.
Inspect and replace, if required, the make-up air filter located inside \
the air cleaner
(PT Cruiser, SRT-4 and SX 2.0 only).
Inspect the serpentine drive belt, replace if necessary (Pacifica and M\
inivan only).
Adjust the generator belt tension (PT Cruiser, SX 2.0 and SRT-4 only).\
Inspect and adjust the power-steering pump belt tension (2.4L Sebring o\
nly).
Replace the engine timing belt (SRT-4, Sebring and PT Cruiser only).
Change the manual transaxle fluid (SRT-4 only).
Change the all-wheel-drive power transfer unit fluid.*
Rotate tires and check tire pressure.
INSPECT THE FOLLOWING:
Inspect the tie rod ends and boot seals (Pacifica, Minivan, PT Cruiser,\
SRT-4 and SX 2.0 only).
Inspect the front and rear brakes and components (Pacifica, Minivan and\
SX 2.0 only).
Inspect the brake hoses.
Check the automatic transaxle fluid level.
Check the manual transaxle fluid level and fill-plug condition (SX 2.0,\
SRT-4
and PT Cruiser only, if equipped).
Check the coolant level, hoses, and clamps.
Inspect the exhaust system.
*The all-wheel-drive power transfer unit fluid and overrunning clutch/re\
ar carrier fluid must be changed at more frequent
intervals than shown in schedule B if the vehicle is used for trailer to\
w, taxi, or other type of commercial service.
