Sidemarker Lamps
To replace a sidemarker lamp bulb, do the following:
1. Locate the rear sidemarker lamp assembly
under the rear bumper.
2. Turn the socket
counterclockwise and
then pull it straight
out from the
sidemarker lamp
assembly.
3. Pull the old bulb straight out and reinstall
the new bulb.
4. Reverse Step 2 to reinstall the socket.
Back-Up Lamps
To replace a back-up lamp bulb, do the following:
1. Open the trunk. SeeTrunk on page 2-14for more
information.2. Pull out the push pins holding down the top portion
of the cloth cover.
3. Fold the cover down slightly and locate the lamp
assembly.
4. Turn the socket counterclockwise and pull it straight
out to remove it from the lamp assembly.
5. Pull the old bulb straight out and reinstall the
new bulb.
6. Reverse the steps to reinstall.

TPM Sensor Identication Codes
Each TPM sensor has a unique identication code. Any
time you replace one or more of the TPM sensors or
rotate your vehicle’s tires, the identication codes
will need to be matched to the new tire/wheel position.
The sensors are matched, to the tire/wheel positions,
in the following order: left front (LF), right front (RF), right
rear (RR), and left rear (LR) using a TPM diagnostic
tool. See your GM dealer for service.
The TPM sensors may also be matched to each
tire/wheel position by increasing or decreasing the tire’s
air pressure. If using this method to match TPM
sensors, the complete procedure outlined below must
be performed after the vehicle has been driven at
least 20 mph (32 km/h), for at least 10 seconds, and
within 15 minutes from when the vehicle is stationary.
You will have one minute to match the rst tire/wheel
position, and ve minutes overall, to match all four
tire/wheel positions. If it takes longer than one minute,
to match the rst tire and wheel, or more than ve
minutes to match all four tire/wheel positions the
matching process stops and you will need to start over.
The TPM matching process is outlined below:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Press the push-button ignition switch to OFF/ACC.
3. Using the Keyless Access transmitter, lock and
unlock the vehicle’s doors.4. Press the lock and unlock buttons, at the same
time, on the Keyless Access transmitter. A single
horn chirp will sound, indicating that the TPM
system is ready, and the sensor matching process
can begin.
5. Start with the left (driver’s side) front tire.
6. Remove the valve cap from the valve stem.
Activate the TPM sensor by increasing or
decreasing the tire’s air pressure for ve seconds,
or until a horn chirp sounds. The horn chirp,
which may take up to 30 seconds, conrms that the
sensor identication code has been matched to
this tire position. To decrease the tire’s air-pressure
use the pointed end of the valve cap, a pencil-style
air pressure gauge, or a key.
7. Proceed to the right (passenger’s side) front tire,
and repeat the procedure in Step 6.
8. Proceed to the right (passenger’s side) rear tire,
and repeat the procedure in Step 6.
9. Proceed to the left (driver’s side) rear tire, and
repeat the procedure in Step 6.
10. After hearing the conrming double horn chirp, for
the left rear tire, exit the matching process by
pressing the push-button ignition switch to
OFF/ACC.

{CAUTION:
Changing a tire can be dangerous. The vehicle
can slip off the jack and roll over or fall on you
or other people. You and they could be badly
injured or even killed. Find a level place to
change your tire. To help prevent the vehicle
from moving:
1. Set the parking brake rmly.
2. Put the shift lever in PARK (P).
3. Turn off the engine and do not restart
while the vehicle is raised.
4. Do not allow passengers to remain in the
vehicle.
To be even more certain the vehicle will not
move, you should put blocks at the front and
rear of the tire farthest away from the one
being changed. That would be the tire, on the
other side, at the opposite end of the vehicle.When your vehicle has a at tire, use the following
example as a guide to assist you in the placement of
wheel blocks.
The following information will tell you next how to use
the jack and change a tire.

Removing the Spare Tire and Tools
The equipment you will need is in the trunk.
To gain access to the spare tire and jacking equipment,
do the following:
1. Open the trunk. SeeTrunk on page 2-14for more
information.
2. Remove the compact spare tire cover.
3. Turn the nut holding the jack counterclockwise and
remove it. Then remove the jack and wheel wrench.
4. Remove the compact spare tire. SeeCompact
Spare Tire on page 5-84for more information
about the compact spare tire.

The tools you will be using include the jack (A) and the
wheel wrench (B).
Removing the Flat Tire and
Installing the Spare Tire
If your vehicle has wheel covers, use the at end of the
wheel wrench to remove the covers. Turn the wheel
wrench clockwise to gently pry off the wheel cover.
Be careful not to scratch the aluminum wheel edge and
do not try to remove the wheel cover with your hands.

If your vehicle has wheel nut caps, turn the wheel
wrench counterclockwise to remove the caps.
Once the wheel cover and wheel nut caps have been
removed, use the following steps to remove the at tire
and install the spare tire.1. Place the wheel wrench (A) securely over the wheel
nut (B). Turn the wheel wrench counterclockwise to
loosen all the wheel nuts. Do not remove them yet.

2. Find the jacking location using the diagram above
and corresponding hoisting notches (A and B)
located in the plastic molding. The notches in the
plastic molding are marked with a triangle shape to
help you nd them.
{CAUTION:
Getting under a vehicle when it is jacked up is
dangerous. If the vehicle slips off the jack you
could be badly injured or killed. Never get under
a vehicle when it is supported only by a jack.
{CAUTION:
Raising your vehicle with the jack improperly
positioned can damage the vehicle and even
make the vehicle fall. To help avoid personal
injury and vehicle damage, be sure to t the
jack lift head into the proper location before
raising the vehicle.
3. Attach the wheel wrench to the jack.
4. Turn the wheel wrench counterclockwise to lower
the jack lift head until the jack ts under the
vehicle.

5. Raise the jack by turning the wheel wrench
clockwise until the slots in the jack head t into the
metal ange located behind the triangle on the
plastic molding as shown.
6. Put the compact spare tire near you.7. Raise the vehicle by turning the wheel wrench
clockwise. Raise the vehicle far enough off the
ground for the compact spare tire to t under the
vehicle.
8. Remove all the wheel nuts and take off the at tire.
{CAUTION:
Rust or dirt on the wheel, or on the parts to
which it is fastened, can make the wheel nuts
become loose after a time. The wheel could
come off and cause an accident. When you
change a wheel, remove any rust or dirt from
the places where the wheel attaches to the
vehicle. In an emergency, you can use a cloth
or a paper towel to do this; but be sure to use
a scraper or wire brush later, if you need to,
to get all the rust or dirt off.
