Average road speed
L Note:
The reading is in km/h or mph,
depending on national-market
version.
Stops with the engine switched
off are ignored.
Average speed is always calcu-
lated over the time since the
last “RESET” triggered by
means of the handlebar-mount-
ed switch.
Residual range
L Note:
Reading in km or miles, de-
pending on national-market
version.
The range is estimated on the
basis of style of riding and tak-
ing the remaining supply of fuel
into account.
Note that the range cannot be
shown accurately if the motor-
cycle was placed on its side
stand. The reading is corrected
during the journey.
The display shows residual
range in km or miles.
Also observe the reading of the
fuel-level gauge and the warn-
ing light for reserve fuel level
(
b10, 11).
The on-board computer regis-
ters that you have refuelled
when approx. 3 litres
(5.3 Imp.pints) have been add-
ed.

Average consumption
L Note:
Reading in litres/km, litres/mile,
or miles/gallon, depending on
national-market version.
Average consumption can be
computed for two different dis-
tances, for example an entire
trip or just one leg of a journey. The average is calculated over
the time the engine is running.
Stops with the engine switched
off are ignored.
Average fuel consumption is al-
ways calculated over the time
since the last “RESET” trig-
gered by means of the handle-
bar-mounted switch.
