INFORMATION
This provides additional information.
Initial screen
When you start the engine or turn the ignition
switch to the “ACC” position, the initial
screen appears and the system begins
operating.
CAUTION
When the vehicle is stopped with the
engine running, always apply the park-
ing brake for safety.
After a few seconds, the “CAUTION” screen
appears.
Touch either “English” or
“Français” to select a language. Read
and follow the instructions.
When you touch the
“I Agree” switch
on the screen, the map screen appears.
You can access this screen when you push
the
“INFO” button and touch the “Lan-
guage”
switch. Then you can select a lan-
guage.

THIS IS A LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR
YOUR COPY OF THE MAP DATABASE
(“The DATABASE”), ORIGINALLY
MADE BY Geographic Data Technology,
Inc. (“GDT”), USED IN THE
NAVIGATION SYSTEM. BY USING THE
DATABASE, YOU ACCEPT AND
AGREE TO ALL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW.
OWNERSHIP
The DATABASE and the copyrights and
intellectual property or neighboring rights
therein are owned by GDT or its
licensors.
LICENSE GRANT
GDT grants you a non−exclusive license
to use your copy of the DATABASE for
your personal use or for use in your
business’ internal operations. This
license does not include the right to grant
sub−licenses.
LIMITATIONS ON USE
The DATABASE is restricted for use in
the specific system for which it was
created. Except to the extent explicitly
permitted by mandatory laws, you may
not extract or re−utilize any portion of the
contents of the DATABASE, nor
reproduce, copy, modify, adapt,
translate, disassemble, decompile, or
reverse engineer any portion of the
DATABASE.
TRANSFER
You may not transfer the DATABASE to
third parties, except together with the
system for which it was created, provided
that you do not retain any copy of the
DATABASE, and provided that the
transferee agrees to all terms and
conditions of this AGREEMENT.DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
GDT does not warrant or make any
representations regarding, either
express or implied, regarding the use or
results of the use of the DATABASE in

POI Data shall be retained by infoUSA.
2. Limitations on use
Except to the extent explicitly permitted

You can register the dealer name, staff,
location and phone number.
1. Touch the “Set Dealer” switch on
the “Maintenance” screen.

Trip information
Trip information such as driving distance,
average vehicle speed, fuel consumption,
etc. can be displayed on the screen.
Push the “INFO” button to display the
“Information menu” and touch the
“Trip
Info”
switch.
“OUTSIDE TEMP”
The display indicates the outside air tempera-
tures.
“Consumption”
The instantaneous fuel consumption is calcu-
lated and displayed based on distance and
fuel consumption with the engine running.
The displayed value is updated every 1 sec-
ond.
Note that an accurate figure may not be
shown in the following cases.
When the vehicle is stopped with the en-
gine running, the display will indicate the
extremely high fuel consumption.
When the vehicle is driving down a long
slope, applying the engine brake, the dis-
play will indicate the extremely low fuel
consumption.
The calculation is reset when the ignition
switch is turned off.
109 “After refueling”
The average fuel consumption is calculated
and displayed based on total driving distance
and total fuel consumption with the engine
running.
The displayed value is updated every 10 sec-
onds.
Every time you refuel the vehicle, the calcula-
tion is reset. When refueling, be sure to stop
your vehicle and turn the ignition switch off.
“Cruising range”
The distance the vehicle can travel with the
remaining fuel is calculated and displayed
based on the quantity of remaining fuel and
past fuel consumption.
The driving range display indicates the
approximate distance that you can drive until
the fuel gauge reaches “E”. It is different from
the actual distance traveled.
The displayed value is updated every time the
fuel equivalent for 1 mile or 1 km is consumed.
Every time you refuel the vehicle, the calcula-
tion is reset. When refueling, be sure to stop
your vehicle and turn the ignition switch off.
The actual driving range varies with driving
habits and road conditions. If fuel consump-
tion is good, the driving range will be longer.
If fuel consumption is poor, the driving range
will be shorter.If the low fuel level warning light comes on, re-
fuel even if the display indicates that the ve-
hicle can be driven further.
“Average speed”
The average speed is calculated and dis-
played based on the total driving distance and
the total driving time with the engine running.
The displayed value is updated every 10 sec-
onds.
To reset the calculation, touch the
“Reset”switch.
“Distance”
The distance after refueling is calculated and
displayed based on the total distance after re-
fuel.
Every time you refuel the vehicle, the calcula-
tion is reset. When refueling, be sure to stop
your vehicle and turn the ignition switch off.
To reset the calculation, touch the
“Reset”switch.

1. Push the “INFO” button to display the
“Information menu” screen.
2. Touch the “Screen setting” switch.

Push this button to scan radio stations or
scan the tracks on a compact disc. For

8Cassette tape slot
Insert a cassette tape into the slot. For

Push this button to turn the cassette tape
player on. For details, see pages 118
and 124.
10“FM” button
Push this button to choose a FM station.

Push this button to stop and eject the

12“PWR·VOL” knob
Push this knob to turn the audio system
on and off, and turn it to adjust the volu-

Push this button to eject the compact

15Compact disc slot
Insert compact discs into the slot after

Using your audio system —
— Some basics
This section describes some of the basic fea-
tures of your audio system. Some information
may not pertain to your system.
Your audio system works when the ignition
switch is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
NOTICE
To prevent the battery from being dis-
charged, do not leave the car audio on
longer than necessary when the engine
is not running.

Air flow selection
The automatic air conditioning automati-
cally maintains the set temperature.
In the automatic operation mode, the air con-
ditioning selects the most suitable fan speed,
air flow, air intake and on−off the air condition-
ing according to the temperature. The ignition
key must be in the “ON” position.
“CLIMATE”: Push this button to display
switches for automatic air conditioning con-
trols.
NOTICE
To prevent the battery from being dis-
charged, do not leave the air condition-
ing on longer than necessary when the
