Grip the back of seat cushion1 and

Push the rear seat head restraints all
the way in.
Pull the handle in the trunk.
The seat backrest is released and the
head restraints fold back.
Fold the seat backrest forward.
iIf tall persons have occupied the driv-
er’s and front passenger seats, it may
be necessary to move these seats for-
ward slightly in order to fold the rear
seat backrests forward.
iI f t h e r e a r c e n t e r s e a t i s t o b e o c c u p i e d
while driving, it may be necessary to
fold the seat belt buckle up again.
!Make sure the head restraints fit all the
way into the seat cushion pockets. This
will prevent the backrests from being
damaged during loading.

Ruffled storage bags are located on the
back of the front seats.
iThe compartment can get very warm
due to its confined space. When storing
heat sensitive objects (e.g. groceries)
in the compartment, close the air vent
while heating the passenger compart-
ment

The ruffled storage bag is intended for stor-
ing light-weight items only.
Heavy objects, objects with sharp edges or
fragile objects may not be transported in the
ruffled storage bag.
The ruffled storage bag cannot protect
transported goods in the event of an acci-
dent.

Using aftermarket seat covers or wearing
clothing that has the tendency to give off
coloring (e.g. when wet, etc.) may cause
the upholstery to become permanently dis-
colored. By lining the seats with a proper
intermediate cover, contact-discoloration
will be prevented.
Wipe leather upholstery with a damp cloth
and dry thoroughly or clean with
Mercedes-Benz approved Leather Care.
E x e r c i s e p a r t i c u l a r c a r e w h e n c l e a n i n g p e r -
forated leather as its underside should not
become wet.
Nubuck leather upholstery (E 55 AMG)
The nubuck leather upholstery is treated
with a protective coating. Wipe nubuck
leather upholstery with damp microfiber
cloth to remove dust and other light stains.
Carefully dab nubuck leather upholstery
with a microfiber cloth to remove oil stains.MB Tex upholstery
Pour Mercedes-Benz approved Interior
Care onto a soft, lint-free cloth and apply
with light pressure.
Plastic and rubber parts
Do not use oil or wax on these parts.
Wood trims
Dampen cloth using water and use damp
cloth to clean wood trims in your vehicle.
Do not use solvents like tar remover or
wheel cleaner nor polishes or waxes as
these may be abrasive.
!Do not use Mercedes-Benz approved
Leather Care or any solvents to clean
nubuck leather upholstery.
Avoid hard scrubbing on nubuck leath-
er upholstery.
