HEADLIGHT LEVELING DE- VICE SYSTEM
SB320A2-F To adjust the headlight beam level according to the number of the pas- sengers and the loading weight in theluggage area, turn the beam leveling switch. The higher the number of the switchposition, the lower the headlight beam level. Always keep the headlight beam at theproper leveling position, or headlights may dazzle other road users. Listed below are the examples of rec-ommended switch settings. For loading conditions other than those listed below, adjust the switch positionso that the beam level may be the nearest as the condition obtained ac- cording to the list. HGK2151-E

B460E03GK-GAT Resetting the Sunroof System If the battery has been recharged, disconnected or if the sunroof is oper-ated with the hexagonal head wrench manually, you may need to reset the sunroof. To do this;
1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
2. With pressing " " "up" button at the
same time, turn the ignition switch"ON". The resetting is failed when the ignition key to the "OFF" within1.5 seconds.
3. If the sunroof is set like this, the sunroof is reset with tilting up/down automatically once for all.
CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not be operated properly.

MAP LIGHT

(1) Push in the map light switch to turn on the driver side light.
(2) In the "DOOR" position, the interior courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of theignition key position. The light goes out gradually 6 seconds after the door is closed.

o To set the parking brake, apply the foot brake and pull the parking brake lever up with the button depressed. Release the button when the brake is fully applied.

B660B01GK-GAT To Set the Cruise Speed
1. Push in the cruise control main
switch on the end of the barrel. The "CRUISE" indicator light in the in-strument cluster will be illuminated. This turns the system on.
2. Accelerate to the desired cruising speed above 25 mph (40 km/h).
3. Push the control switch downward
to "SET (COAST)" and release it.
4. Remove your foot from the accel- erator pedal and the desired speed will automatically be maintained.The "SET" indicator light in the in- strument cluster will illuminated. B660B01GK

5. To increase speed, depress the
accelerator pedal enough for the vehicle to exceed the preset speed. When you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal, the vehiclewill return to the speed you have set.

To avoid accidental cruise controlengagement, keep the cruise con- trol main switch off when not using the cruise control.B660C01GK-AAT To Cancel the Cruise Speed To disengage the cruise control sys- tem, Pull the control switch toward the steering wheel to "CANCEL" position.Additionally, the following actions will disengage the system:

B670C01FC-AAT Air Intake Control This is used to select fresh outside air or recirculating inside air. To change the air intake control mode,(Fresh mode, Recirculation mode) push the control button. FRESH MODE ( ) : The indicator light on the button goes off when the air intake control is fresh mode. RECIRCULATION MODE ( ): The indicator light on the button is illumi-nated when the air intake control is recirculation mode. With the "Fresh" mode selected, air enters the vehicle from the outside andis heated or cooled according to the function selected. With the "Recirculation" mode selected, air from within the passenger compart- ment will be drawn through the heatingsystem and heated or cooled according to the function selected. NOTE:
o It should be noted that prolonged
operation of the heating in "Recir- culation" mode will give rise to fogging of the windshield and sidewindows and the air within the passenger compartment will be- come stale. In addition, prolongeduse of the air conditioning with the "Recirculation" mode selected may result in the air within thepassenger compartment becom- ing excessively dry.
o When the ignition switch is turned "ON" the air intake control willchange to " " mode (regardless of switch position). This is normaloperation. B740A01S-EAT (Not all models) Air Conditioning Switch The air conditioning is turned on or off by pushing the A/C button on the heat- ing/air conditioning control panel. B740B01S-AAT Air Conditioning Operation Cooling To use the air conditioning to cool the interior:
o Set the side vent control to " ", to
shut off outside air entry.
o Turn on the fan control switch.
o Turn on the air conditioning switch by
pushing in on the switch. The air conditioning indicator light should come on at the same time.
o Set the air intake control to "Fresh" mode ( ). o Set the temperature control to "Cool".
("Cool" provides maximum cooling.The temperature may be moderated by moving the control toward "Warm".)
o Adjust the fan control to the desired speed. For greater cooling, turn thefan control to one of the higher speedsor temporarily select the "Recircula- tion" position on the air intake con- trol.

o If the interior of the car is hot when
you first get in, open the windows for a few minutes to expel the hot air.
o When you are using the air condition-
ing system, keep all windows closedto keep hot air out.
o When moving slowly, as in heavy
traffic, shift to a lower gear. Thisincreases engine speed, which in turn increases the speed of the air conditioning compressor.
o On steep grades, turn the air condi- tioning off to avoid the possibility ofthe engine over-heating.
o During winter months or in periods when the air conditioning is not usedregularly, run the air conditioning onceevery month for a few minutes. This will help circulate the lubricants and keep your system in peak operatingcondition.
