Réglage de la position de la rainure
de l’aiguille de gicleur
Si le moteur a des difficultés à tourner
régulièrement aux régimes intermé-
diaires, il faut régler l’aiguille 1de
gicleur. Si le mélange est trop riche ou
trop pauvre aux régimes intermédiaires,
le fonctionnement du moteur sera irré-
gulier et une mauvaise accélération se
produira. Le bon dosage du mélange est
difficile à déterminer au moyen de la
bougie et par conséquent, il doit être
déterminé en fonction de la perception
donnée par le fonctionnement réel du
moteur.

1. Trop riche aux régimes intermé-
diaires
Le fonctionnement du moteur est
irrégulier et le moteur ne prend pas
régulièrement de vitesse. Dans ce
cas, remonter la fixation de
l’aiguille du gicleur d’une rainure
ou d'une demi-rainure et faire des-
cendre l’aiguille du gicleur pour
appauvrir le mélange.
2. Trop pauvre aux régimes intermé-
diaires
Le moteur attaque difficilement et
ne prend pas régulièrement de
vitesse. Dans ce cas, abaisser la
fixation de l’aiguille du gicleur
d’une rainure ou d'une demi-rainu-
re et faire descendre l’aiguille du
gicleur pour enrichir le mélange.Einstellung der Position der Düsen-

ze festgestellt werden, so daß Sie dies

Motorbetriebs beurteilen müssen.

1. Zu fett bei mittleren Drehzahlen
Rauher Motorbetrieb kann festge-
stellt werden und der Motor kann
nicht glatt beschleunigt werden. In
diesem Fall ist die Düsennadel-
klammer um eine Nut oder um 0.5
Nut höher einzustellen und die
Düsennadel abzusenken, um das
Gemisch magerer zu gestalten.
2. Zu mager bei mitteleren Dreh-
zahlen
Der Motor wird nur hart bearbei-
tet und kann nicht schnell
beschleunigt werden. Düsenna-

re.

Si sente che il motore funziona in
maniera discontinua e riprende
velocità con difficoltà. In questo
caso, alzare il fermaglio a graffa
dell’ago a getto di una o di mezza
scanalatura e spostare l’ago verso
il basso per smagrire la miscela.
2. Troppo povera a regimi intermedi
Il motore respira a fatica e non
riprende velocità rapidamente. In
questo caso, abbassare il fermaglio
a graffa dell’ago a getto di una o di
mezza scanalatura e spostare l’ago
verso l’alto per arricchire la misce-

It is necessary to set the carburetor while
checking the operating conditions of the
engine and discoloration of spark plugs.
Normally, carburetor setting is made by
means of the main jet, jet needle clip position
(including one with 0.5 difference), pilot jet
and pilot air screw. If the result of setting is
still unsatisfactory, it is advisable to change
the diameter of the straight portion the jet
needle.
*In case of hard breathing, check the air vent hose for clogging.

incluso un ago con una differenza di 0,5), il
getto pilota e la vite dell'aria pilota. Se il risul-
tato della registrazione è ancora insoddisfacen-
te, è consigliabile cambiare il diametro della
parte diritta dell'ago a getto.

Selecting the rotor
If you feel the engine pick up faster depending
on the course condition, you can control it by
changing the rotor to the one with a greater iner-
tial mass.
* Inertial mass: The inertial mass of the body is
proportional to its weight and increases in pro-
portion to the square of the distance between its
rotation center and center of gravity. For the
same weight, a greater distance from its rota-
tion center produces greater inertial mass.
Greater initial mass gives a feeling of greater
torque in response to engine revolutions but is
accompanied by greater pick up resistance.
Engine characteristics are shown below in rela-
tion to each rotor:
9Standard rotor
Engine pickup is faster in the entire engine
speed range.
Pickup is fast at an extremely low engine
speed.
9Optional rotor
A feeling of torque is obtained at high engine
speed.
A broader power band is felt from mid speed to
over revs.
NOTE:
9Engine pick up differs according to the course
condition, rider, the settings, etc. Select a suit-
able rotor by comparing it with the standard
one in operation.
9It is difficult to be advantageous under all
course conditions with a change in the rotor.
Measure the lap times in accordance with race
points and select a rotor to produce a good
entire balance.
