ÅPass the start switch lead, main
switch lead, engine stop switch
lead and throttle cable through
the cable guide.
ıPass the fuel tank breather hose
through the hose guide.
ÇPass the carburetor breather
hose through the hose guide.
ÎFasten the carburetor heater lead,
main switch lead, engine stop
switch lead and start switch lead.‰After fastening the CDI mag-
neto lead, cut off any excess
from the plastic locking tie end.
ÏFasten the battery leads to the
bracket with the plastic locking
tie. For fastening, pass the plas-
tic locking tie through the hole in
the bracket.
ÌAfter fastening the starter motor
lead, cut off any excess from the
plastic locking tie end.ÓAfter fastening the CDI mag-
neto lead, cut off any excess
from the plastic locking tie end.
ÈPosition the start switch coupler
and engine stop switch coupler
between the carburetor breather
hose and thermo switch.
ÔMake sure that the CDI unit lead
does not contact the thermo
switch bracket.

KABELFÜHRUNG
ÅDie Startschalterleitung, die Zündschalterlei-
tung, die Motorstoppschalterleitung und den
Gasseilzug durch die Seilzugführung verlegen.
ıDen Krafstofftank-Lüftungsschlauch durch die
Schlauchführung führen.
ÇDen Vergaserlüftungsschlauch durch die
Schlauchführung führen.
ÎDie Vergaserheizungsleitung, die Zündschalter-
leitung, die Motorstoppschalterleitung und Start-
schalterleitung befestigen.
‰Nach dem Befestigen der CDI-Magnetzünderlei-
tung überstehendes Bandende vom Plastik-
sperrband abschneiden.
ÏDie Batterieleitungen mit dem Plastiksperrband
am Bügel befestigen. Zum Befestigen das Pla-
stiksperrband durch das Loch im Bügel führen.
ÌNach dem Befestigen der Startermotorleitung
überstehendes Bandende vom Plastiksperrband
abschneiden.
ÓNach dem Befestigen der CDI-Magnetzünderlei-
tung überstehendes Bandende vom Plastik-
sperrband abschneiden.
ÈDen Startschalter-Stecker und Motorstoppschal-
ter-Stecker zwischen Vergaserlüftungsschlauch
und Thermoschalter anbringen.
ÔSicherstellen, dass die CDI-Einheit-Leitung nicht
den Thermoschalter-Bügel berührt.
ÅFaire passer le fil du bouton de démarrage, le fil du
coupe-circuit du moteur, le fil du bouton d’arrêt du
moteur et le câble d’accélérateur par le guide de
câbles.
ıFaire passer le flexible de reniflard de réservoir à
essence par le guide de flexibles.
ÇFaire passer le flexible de reniflard du carburateur par
le guide de flexibles.
ÎAttacher le fil du chauffage de carburateur, le fil du
coupe-circuit du moteur, le fil du bouton d’arrêt du
moteur et le fil du bouton de démarrage.
‰Après avoir attaché le fil de la magnéto CDI, couper
l’extrémité de l’attache en plastique qui dépasse.
ÏAttacher les câbles de batterie au support avec l’atta-
che en plastique en faisant passer l’attache en plasti-
que par le trou du support.
ÌAprès avoir attaché le fil du moteur de démarreur,
couper l’extrémité de l’attache en plastique qui
dépasse.
ÓAprès avoir attacher le fil du bloc CDI, couper
l’extrémité de l’attache en plastique qui dépasse.
ÈMettre le raccord du bouton de démarrage et le rac-
cord du bouton d’arrêt du moteur entre le flexible de
reniflard du carburateur et le thermocontact.
ÔS’assurer que le fil du bloc CDI ne touche pas le sup-
port du thermocontact.

stop switch lead at the tape with
the plastic locking tie.
∏Fasten the battery leads.ŒFasten the wire harness and
starting circuit cut-off relay lead
at the tape for the wire harness
with the plastic locking tie.
ÂFasten the rectifier/regulator
lead and starter relay leads. For
fastening, pass the plastic lock-
ing tie through the hole in the
battery box.

befestigen.
ÒDen Kabelbaum, CDI-Einheit-Leitungen, Ther-
moschalterleitung und CDI-Magnetzünderleitung
befestigen.
˜Die Vergaserheizungsleitung zwischen Verga-
ser-Lüftungsschlauch und Lufteinlaßschacht
verlegen.
ˆDen Zündschalterstecker zwischen Vergaser-
Lüftungsschlauch und Lufteinlaßschacht positio-
nieren.
ØDie Startschalterleitung, Zündschalterleitung
und Motorstoppschalterleitung am Band mit dem
Plastiksperrband befestigen.
∏Die Batterieleitungen befestigen.
ŒDen Kabelbaum und die Starterkreis-Unterbre-
cherrelaisleitung am Band für den Kabelbaum
dem Plastiksperrband befestigen.
ÂDie Gleichrichter/Regulierer-Leitung und Star-
terrelais-Leitungen befestigen. Zum Befestigen
das Plastiksperrband durch das Loch im Batte-
riekasten führen.
Attacher le câble du démarreur, le fil du thermocon-
tact, le fil du bloc CDI, le fil du coupe-circuit du
moteur, le fil du bouton de démarrage et le fil d’arrêt
du moteur.
ÒAttacher le faisceau de fils, les fils du bloc CDI, le fil
du thermocontact et le fil de la magnéto CDI.
˜Faire passer le fil du chauffage de carburateur entre le
flexible de reniflard du carburateur et le conduit
d’arrivée d’air.
ˆMettre le raccord de coupe-circuit du moteur entre le
flexible de reniflard du carburateur et le conduit
d’arrivée d’air.
ØAttacher le fil du bouton de démarrage, le fil du
coupe-circuit du moteur et le fil du bouton d’arrêt du
moteur au ruban avec l’attache en plastique.
∏Attacher les câble de batterie.
ŒAttacher le faisceau de fils et le fil du relais de cou-
pure de circuit de démarrage au ruban prévu pour le
faisceau de fils avec l’attache en plastique.
ÂAttacher le fil du redresseur/régulateur et les fils de
relais de démarreur en faisant passer l’attache en
plastique par le trou de la boîte de batterie.

1. Start the engine and thoroughly warm it
up.
2. Attach:
Inductive tachometer
To spark plug lead.
3. Adjust:
Idle speed
VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
The valve clearance should be adjusted
when the engine is cool to the touch.
The piston must be at Top Dead Center
(T.D.C.) on compression stroke to check or
adjust the valve clearance.
1. Remove:
Air scoop (right) 1
Air filter case 2
2. Remove:
Spark plug
Tappet cover (intake side) 1
Tappet cover (exhaust side) 2 Adjustment steps:
Adjust the pilot screw.
Refer to “PILOT AIR SCREW ADJUST-
MENT” section.
Turn the throttle stop screw 1 until the
engine runs at the lowest possible speed.
To increase idle speed →
Turn the throttle stop screw 1 in a.
To decrease idle speed →
Turn the throttle stop screw 1 out b.
