yoursizeandmovementsaslongasthepullon
thebeltisslow.
Rapiddecelerationduringhardbrakingoracolli-
sionlocksthebelt.Thebeltwillalsolockwhen
youdriveupordownasteephillorinasharp
curve,otherwise,theshoulderbeltwillnotinhibit
yourupperbodymovement.

Theshoulderbeltshouldalwaysrestonyour
upperbody.Theshoulderbeltshouldnever
bewornbehindyourbackorunderyourarm.

t>Insertbelttongueintobuckleoninboardside
ofseat.Pushdownuntilitsecurelylockswith
anaudibleclick.Pullthebelttocheck.
t>Pullshouldersectiontomakesurebeltfits
snuglyacrossthepelvis.
t>Beltsshouldfitsnuglyacrossthepelvisand
chest.Makesurethereisnoslackinthebelt.

tractorforsecuringthechildrestraintsystem.
Whenactivated,thisretractorallowsyoutose-
curelyfastenthechildrestraintsysteminplace
sothatinadvertentmovementswillnotoccur.
Activatingtheautomaticlockingretractor
1.Pullthesafetybeltretractorcompletelyout.
Atthispointthelockingmechanismisacti-
vated.
2.Insertthesafetybelttongueintothebuckle
andmakecertainthatitisproperlylatched.
3.Allowthesafetybelttoretractuntilitistight
onthechildrestraintsystem.Youmayfur-
thertightenthebeltbypullingonittoallow
moreofittoretract.
Releasingthesafetybelt
1.Unbucklethesafetybeltlatch.
2.Thenmakecertainthatthebelthasfullyre-
tracted.
Atthispointtheautomaticlockingfeaturewill
bedisengaged.
