FUEL FILLER FLAP
To open:firmly pull the handle
on the floor to the outside of the driver's seat.
To close: from outside the vehi-
cle, push back the flap and check
that it is secured correctly. Filling with fuel Switch off the engine.
A filler cap hook is provided.
A label on the inside of the flap shows which fuels are permitted and which are not. The capacity of the tank is approximately 15.4 gallons (70 litres).
Low fuel level warning lightFrom the time this light comes on, you have enough fuel remaining to drive for approximately 30 miles (50
km) .

Rear seats, estate
To fold down the rear seat:
Ð remove the head restraints bypressing the lug.
Ð tilt the seat cushion against the front seats, using the strap. Ð secure the side seat belt buckles
on the coat hooks when manoeu- vring the seat back to avoid anyrisk of the straps being damaged.
Ð unlock the seat back by pressing button 1. The red marker Aappears.
Ð fold down the seat back gently to avoid blocking the centre belt.
When returning the seat back to theupright position, ensure that it is correctly locked (red marker Ano
longer visible). When driving with rear passengerswith one third of the seat foldeddown, release the central seat beltbuckle from its catch.

"ISOFIX" MOUNTINGS The one third side of the rear seat of your vehicle is fitted with
ISOFIX
mountings . These are 2 rings locat-
ed between the seat back and seatcushion of your vehicle. The ISOFIX child seats are fitted
with 2 locks which fit onto these rings.
The ISOFIX child seat approved for
PEUGEOT vehicles and sold by the
PEUGEOT network is the ISOFIX
KIDDY* child seat seat. It can be
installed in the rearwards facingposition from birth to 13 kg and inthe forwards facing position from 9to 18 kg. In the front, in the rearwards facing position, the front passenger seatmust be moved as far forwards aspossible so that the shell of the childseat is in contact with, or as close aspossible to, the fascia.
In the rear, in the forwards facing position, the front passenger seatmust be in the intermediate longitu-dinal position, with the seat backupright.
The ISOFIX KIDDY child seat may also be used where there are noIsofix mountings. In this case it iscompulsory to attach it to the vehi-cle's seat using the three-point seatbelt for the rearwards facing and for-wards facing positions.
If the ISOFIX KIDDY seat is fitted in the rearwards facing positionon the front passenger seat, it isessential to disarm the passengerair bag. Follow the instructions for fitting the child seat indicated in the seatmanufacturer's installation instruc-tions. Refer to the "Summary table for the installation of child seats".
* You can only secure ISOFIX child seats, approved by PEUGEOT and sold by its network, on your vehi-cle's ISOFIX mountings.

In addition to the ISOFIX child seats, PEUGEOT offers a complete range of child seats which are secured using the seat belt: Group 0+: from birth to 13 kg)
L1 Ð "Britax Babysure": installed in the rear-facing position in the front or in the rear using a three-point seat belt.In the front, it is compulsory to disarm the passenger air bag and the passenger seat must be adjusted to the 'mid-way'
position on the runner.
Group 1: from 9 to 18 kg
L2 Ð "Ršmer Prince": installed in the rear using a two or three-point seat belt. For the safety of your child, the seat and the restraining cushion must never be separated.
Group 2: from 15 to 25 kg
L3 Ð "Ršmer Vario'': installed in the rear with a two or three-point seat belt.

Never leave one or more children alone and unsu-pervised in a vehicle. Never leave a child or an
animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun and has thewindows closed.
To protect your young children from the sun, fit blinds on the rear windows. Never leave the keys within reach
of children inside the car. Disarm the passenger air bag when installing a "rearwards facing" childseat on the front passenger seat.Otherwise, the child would riskbeing killed or seriously injuredwere the air bag to inflate. Observe strictly the recommenda- tions for assembling and securingthe child seat as shown in thechild seat instructions.
To prevent the doors from opening
accidentally, use the child lock*. Also, do not open the rear win- dows more than a third*.

Groups 2 and 3: from 15 to 36 kg
L4 Ð ''Recaro Start'': installed in the rear with a three-point seat belt.
The height and width of the seat back and length of the seat cushion mustbe adjusted according to the age and build of your child.
L5 Ð "Klippan Optima": installed in the rear with a three-point seat belt. From the age of 6 years (approximately 22 kg), the booster is used on its own.

CHANGING A WHEEL Access to the spare wheel and jack Saloon:
lift the boot carpet using the
lifting hook. Secure the hook behind the boot seal. Estate: unscrew the two carpet
retaining screws a quarter turn using the ignition key or a coin. Lift the car-pet and secure the retaining hookbehind the tailgate seal. 7-seater estate: fold back the third
row seat, then lift the carpet to gain access to the spare wheel. Tools 1 -
Wheel brace.
2 - Centralising tool.
3 - Trim remover/wheel brace extension.
4 - Jack.
5 - Removable towing eye.
6 - Alloy wheel trim remover.
7 - Trim cap tool.
The tool holder supports the boot
floor. Reposition it to prevent any deforma- tion of the floor when loaded.
Tighten the spare wheel securing strap to prevent noise and for yoursafety in the event of a frontalimpact. Removal
Ð Park the vehicle on level, stable
and non-slippery ground.
Ð Apply the handbrake, engage first or reverse gear (position Pfor the
automatic gearbox).
Ð Remove the wheel trim using the wheelbrace by pulling next to the valve. For vehicles fitted with alloywheels 8, remove the centre
trim by using tool 6in one of the
holes.
Ð Loosen the wheel bolts. For vehicles with alloy wheels 8,
remove the chrome trim caps before-
hand (see page on 'special featuresof alloy wheels' in this section).

Anti-theft bolts* If your wheels are fitted with an anti- theft bolt (one per wheel), thechrome trim and then the plasticcover must be removed using tool 7,
before unscrewing the bolt using oneof the two anti-theft sockets (whichwere given to you on delivery of yourvehicle along with the duplicate keysand the confidential card) and thewheel brace 1.
Note: make a careful note of the
code number engraved on the head
of the anti-theft socket. This willenable you to obtain duplicate anti-
theft sockets from a Peugeot dealer.

Special features of alloy wheels Bolt covers Alloy wheel bolts are covered by chrome trims. Use tool 7to remove the trims before
slackening the bolts.Fitting the spare wheel If your vehicle is fitted with a steel spare wheel, when fitting it, it is normal to notice when tightening the
bolts that the washers do not come
into contact with the rim. The sparewheel is secured by the cone-shapeof each bolt. Fitting snow tyres If you fit snow tyres mounted on steel wheels to your vehicle, it is essential
to use special bolts available from
your PEUGEOT dealer.

Amber bulbs must be replaced by bulbs of iden-tical specification and
colour.
In certain weather conditions (lowtemperatures, humidity), the
presence of condensation onthe inside of the headlampglass is normal; it disappears a
few minutes after the lights havebeen switched on.
CHANGING A BULB 1 - Dipped beam headlamps 2 - Main beam headlamps 2 bulbs (H7-55 W)
Ð Press the tab and remove the protective cover corresponding to the faulty bulb.
Ð Disconnect the connector.
Ð Press the end of the securing clip to remove it. Change the bulb.
Ð When fitting, ensure that the direction notches are positioned correctly and that the securing clip is corrrectly fixed.
Ð Reconnect the connector.
Ð Refit the protective cover. 3 - Side lights (W 5 W)
Turn the socket using the lever and remove it. Change the bulb.
4 - Direction indicators (P 21 W)
Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn and remove it. Change the bulb. Note: only handle H7 bulbs using a dry cloth.
To replace the left-hand bulbs, remove the protective battery cover. Direction indicator (WY 5 W)
Ð Pull the rear section of the trans-
parent cover and release the
assembly.
Ð Turn the connector a quarter turn and remove it.
Ð Change the bulb.
